I’ve honestly only heard wonderful things about Friends, so I’m really crossing my fingers that everything turns out perfect! I’ll reach out with a full report once the reception is over!
How many people actually showed up for your friends' wedding, and did you feel like there was enough floor space for everyone to dance? [/
There were about 100 folks there, and my maid of honor was right by my side through it all, so I can highly recommend the place—just make sure you request plenty of room for dancing... anyway, I am eagerly waiting to hear how yours goes!🙂)))))
Hey, tell me, fadedpuma21, who did you end up hiring for photography? I’m still on the hunt, and while everyone keeps pointing me toward Papaya, I’ve been looking into Mirjana’s Studio Inc... has anyone heard anything about them? What are the reviews like?

I did the same thing—just scouring the internet—and the consensus seems to be that Matthews is the top pick (though he was way out of my budget) and Fox is usually booked solid, along with the ones you mentioned. In the end, I went with Marino Photography out of Boise; I liked their portfolio online, and I heard they do decent work. They quoted me around $1,200, which seems to be the standard rate everywhere, really. What are your plans for the band?

Hi! I’m new here, and honestly, reading through all your comments has been such a goldmine of information. You guys are awesome!

I was recently scrolling through some photos of the Ultras arena, and wow, it looks absolutely incredible.

Does anyone happen to know what the prices are usually like there, or if the food is any good?

Thanks so much!

We've touched on them before, but here's their official site so you can check everything out:

I’ve been scrolling through their official website, but I honestly can't find any mention of the chair's price, nor did I see anyone else talking about it online (sorry if I missed it, I really looked!). I’m mainly curious about what people think—has anyone heard anything? How’s the quality, the service, and everything else?

thanks!

As for what the chair costs—honestly, they should just give you a quote once you guys actually hash out the details. Not everyone wants the same setup, so prices fluctuate. Just shop around a bit—hit up those highly-rated spots first.

I did the exact same thing and just scoured the internet said:

So, I finally made a call on the band! If I were picking based purely on taste, I'd have gone with either Bravo Band or Taxi Band since I've listened to them so much over the years, but one was way too pricey and the other was unavailable. Instead, I'm going with 100's, who played for me before. The guys are great, and they play a nice mix of pop-rock, some California classics, and popular hits.
I was actually hoping to book Papaj, but Nikola is busy that day, so I guess I'll have to keep hunting for more options.

Hey ladies, 🙂
Quick question for you all... Does anyone have a recommendation for a florist in San Diego who could pull off arrangements looking like this?

I can personally vouch for this florist serving the San Francisco area; the woman behind the business does a phenomenal job, and her prices are incredibly reasonable. It is truly worth your while.😉

I ended up going with a photographer from the suburbs, Drazen (the Zumba guy), rather than Studio In, mostly because they were asking for an extra $333, and I really needed the whole recording session to fit within a single hour...

Please do recommend them, maybe shoot me a private message with the details, and if you happen to have a photo of one of their bouquets handy... I'd love to see it!

Maybe someone here can weigh in on this—what kind of budget are we looking at to bring in Joe Biden as a surprise guest? Has anyone actually pulled this off before? Thanks 🙂

Help, I need some info! Does anyone know where the notary course in Solvang is being held? Is it actually inside the church or just in some hall nearby? Thanks so much
And while I have you all, about the pizza... where did you guys pick yours up? I remember someone mentioning Phoenix Discount earlier, is that still a good bet 🙂? (Gosh, how did I even manage to mash these two questions together—a notary course and pizza, haha 😉

You’ll do the group sessions at the Lincoln Center, right next to the church. It runs for three days, and then you've got a few one-on-one follow-ups at the parish office.
As for drinks... if you're planning this for a restaurant setting, find a venue that includes beverages in the package. Otherwise, they’ll absolutely rip you off. I think Phoenix is still a solid option, but when it came to hosting my guests, I took a different route. We rented out The Pavilion near the local chapel—it's actually owned by the Zvonimir restaurant group. That way, we had a combined reception with a buffet and all the drinks already covered in the price. Simple. 👍

Heyyyyyyy there!

I’ve spent way too much time scrolling through all 156 pages of these comments 🙂, but man, it was totally worth it!
I'm brand new here and I've got a few things on my mind!
Our wedding is set for September 10th, 2011, and I'm currently hunting for a hall and a DJ. Regarding the venue, I feel like I've already read everything out there and taken notes—I'm leaning towards a big banquet hall (we're expecting about 100 guests), so I don't really need much help there, but the topic of finding a good DJ keeps popping up and yet nobody seems to be giving any solid advice... so I was wondering if anyone here has some experience with that or could please share some contact numbers? ☕

Can anyone recommend a bakery in California that makes cakes and pastries like these?

image

I know they can be ordered in Suburban Philadelphia, but shipping alone is way too expensive via $667 😢
