If you were thinking of something more laid-back and "homegrown," then take a look at this.
They have listings there and on Facebook, so give it a search.

Now, this is certainly interesting, though unfortunately, it doesn't quite align with my specific vision...
I would be much happier finding a "fancy" option, even if I am not strictly set in my ways. Thank you regardless, 🙂

That's true 👍
I had considered Sky as well, though I wasn't entirely sure if they even host this kind of event, but I'll definitely look into it.
Thanks 😉

EDIT:

I called them right away 😬 and it turns out they do handle weddings too, but the manager wasn't available, so they couldn't give me any more details. I'm speaking with the manager tomorrow 🙂
In the meantime, please keep the suggestions coming—you can never have too many ideas!

They host all sorts of events, from weddings to corporate retreats. You can just grab their number from the website if you want to reach out. The only other spot that comes to mind is Frapa Marina in Annapolis... though I have to admit, the interior isn't quite as striking as Sky, but that massive terrace with the pool really makes it 😉...

EDIT: By the time I finished typing this, you had already figured it all out! You're quick..

The photographer, the band, the flowers, the church—it’s all set and just waiting on the venue selection... but I am hitting one roadblock after another.
Basically, I wasn't looking for some stuffy, traditional banquet hall. I really wanted something near the ocean or a pool, and I’m even open to a lounge or a trendy club since we're doing a wedding for about 100 people with finger foods.
I clearly haven't been smart enough about this 🤷 San Antonio is already booked up, and most hotels won't even allow weddings in September unless you use one of their "standard" ballrooms. What am I supposed to do? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking in San Francisco and the surrounding areas for a beautiful restaurant, club, or lounge that can accommodate 100 guests.

Maybe check out Jungle by the Atlantic Ocean...? Some acquaintances of mine had a party there once... so I'm hoping they allow rentals.

Hey ladies!
So, my big day is set for July 23rd in San Francisco and everything is basically locked in,
except for the flowers, boutonnieres, and all that church and venue decor.
Does anyone have any solid recommendations?!
I heard about this one woman over in Portland who does amazing work,
but does anyone happen to have her number?

Also, I'm still totally indecisive about guest favors!
We aren't really doing the whole traditional "thank you" gift thing, so now we're hunting for
something else—maybe something funny or just totally out of the box?!

Does anyone happen to know how much a Flas band goes for lately?

I'm looking for some solid recommendations for a band, maybe something in the ballpark of $850...

Cvjećan jaglac in the works....😍

As for favors... for our wedding, we did little ceramic boats... maybe magnets, glasses, coasters, picture frames... there are honestly tons of ideas out there... you just have to do a little digging.

Try checking out those local spots just outside of town near the river—they're beautiful for smaller gatherings. Or maybe look into that one hall in the suburbs (I think that's the name)—it's prekrasan ambijent !!! Alternatively, there's a hotel with an amazing terrace near the coast, or that old sailor-themed spot in the city center... I went to a party there once and it was actually great. There's another restaurant right nearby, though the name escapes me at the moment. The luxury hotel is an option too, but it's pricey—even without drinks, they start at around $110 per head.😲

I could really use another opinion from you guys... Hey, Mirko bura—has anyone actually caught this duo playing at a party or something?? I feel like they’d be perfect for setting a great mood... plus, we also have the option of hiring twist OFF bend... Honestly, I'll take any feedback you can throw my way!!🙂🙂:*:*

Kaštil Slanica... they're the ones who serve the mashed potatoes. As far as I know, Radman’s doesn't even do them. And Slanica? That place holds 230 people easily.

That's what I was thinking too—I went to a wedding there once and it was actually great... the couple arrived by boat 😛 romantic

prekrasan ambijent !!! 👍The setting there is truly gorgeous... you've got the pool and the Atlantic Ocean just a stone's throw from the ballroom, which I personally found quite lovely, though there is one glaring drawback... it only holds about 80 people at most, unfortunately...

When it comes to the music at a party, everyone has their own specific taste, and what one person finds incredible, another might find utterly grating... there really aren't any rules to follow here, and you can clearly see from the endless chatter on this forum that people will claim just about anything is good... Don't listen to anyone else's noise; just go hear the band for yourself and decide who actually hits the mark, because at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is whether you're having a good time...🙂
Your only real decision is whether to hire a duo, a trio, or the entire band, though that ultimately hinges on the size of your budget... A full band is certainly more expensive, but you’re paying for a level of quality you just can't replicate elsewhere; you get a much wider selection of high-end repertoire, a far superior sound, and a significantly better vocal harmony... A duo is the cheaper route, of course...
At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you choose for yourself and how much you're willing to shell out...🙂

Well, sure... it’s not like I got married there myself... but honestly, 😍 during my time there, I didn't taste anything worthwhile, even though everyone kept raving about the food... I had to make up for it at some later dinner parties... and I can truly say 🙏 regarding the food, the servers, the entire service, but especially those little donut holes 🙂

We finally pulled the trigger and headed over to the Fabula restaurant, and honestly, since everything is so pricey lately, they actually had some killer deals going on! 😉

So, what kind of prices are they asking for at Fabula these days?
