I’m on the hunt for a band based out of San Francisco that plays rock—you know, some foreign tracks, maybe a bit of an alternative vibe, and even some local West Coast stuff... anyone have leads? Ideally someone who’s just getting their act together and starting rehearsals right about now.🙂

What exactly would you consider an alternative?
The rest of them just play covers by Yellow Cab, Bravia, and the Pink Panther...

The Yellow Cab is booked up right now, so alright, I'll go ahead and look into some other options...

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that Irra does rentals.

As for the band, I honestly haven't the slightest clue who we're going to hire yet..
I've been looking through every photographer available in the Miami area, and I'm really torn between California and Julia's studio...

Have you considered DJ Khaled? He’s fantastic—he picks up a guitar when the party hits its peak, right after the cake, and just turns the whole room into a riot.

Getty Images, without a doubt. Their work is top-tier.

Does anyone have any idea what a vocal group—even a smaller ensemble 🙂—usually charges for a quick set after church and right before dinner? We're talking maybe an hour of singing total.

Also, does anyone know a lesser-known group that might be interested in picking up a gig like that?

Hey ladies, I wasn't sure if there was a specific thread for wedding venues around San Francisco and the surrounding areas, so I figured I'd just ask here 😁

I'm looking for banquet halls that can handle about 200-300 guests in the SF area or nearby! I already know about some spots out in Tulsa! 😁 Does anyone have any experience with the Marriott in Seget? Apparently, they can host up to 450 people? Or is there some kind of capacity limit I should know about? 🤷 Does anyone know what their pricing is like? How's the venue itself? The food? And does it actually have an ocean view? 😁

Also, please, if there’s even one hall near San Francisco that can fit at least 200 people and is right by the water—or maybe has a terrace facing the ocean or some kind of view like that? 🙂 Something similar to San Antonio, but that place only holds 150! 😬

The Marriott really does have a gorgeous view of the ocean... 😛 I don't usually make such huge decisions on my own, so I can't say for sure, but if you look at places like The Plaza, Holy Cross, Honey, or even Atlantic... maybe just give them a call and ask? That's how I used to handle things myself...

p.s. And just a heads-up, you should probably be ready for the fact that having a view of the ocean will almost always command a higher price than your standard real estate deal out in Tulsa or San Diego. 😉

I checked the Marriott online, but it doesn't say anything about capacity. 🙄I guess I'll have to call and ask! And honestly, they seem a bit pricier than your standard banquet halls. 😬

Thanks, I hadn't heard of that restaurant! I'll definitely check it out. 😉

True, the Marriott is a bit on the pricier side... 😉 But they definitely have plenty of space available, provided you're willing to pay the premium. 😁

Can anyone recommend a killer wedding hairstylist in San Francisco? I’m looking for something polished and structured rather than just a casual, beachy look, but I still want it to feel elegant. Any leads?

@darksailor2, why wouldn't you just head down to San Diego via the freeway and hit up that lower hall in California? It’s not pricey, you aren't exactly "out in the middle of nowhere," the food and service are top-tier, and parking is a breeze. I actually checked everything out myself last Saturday 😁

Hey ladies, does anyone have a solid photographer recommendation in San Diego?
We're throwing a little get-together—well, more like a dinner party—in about a month. Everything was decided on a whim, so I know my options are pretty slim at this point.

Cheers

Getty Images, Susie, Stipe Surać.... if you check the San Diego Wedding Guide site, they have all the numbers listed. Just start dialing through the list one by one. 😉

There’s been plenty of chatter about Jaglac Florist and Marti before...😁
Personally, I can't recommend her enough. I've used her services, and quite a few people looking for wedding arrangements used to stop by this thread regularly to ask about her.

As for the prices... honestly, it's all about the negotiation. You can talk through the total cost, you can pick specific types of blooms... the woman is incredibly flexible and open to whatever you need. 👍

🤣 Here we go 🤣

Anyway, send me a photo of the pier so I can see the hall! I can't find it online! 🤷 How many people does it hold? What's the price? 😁

"Out in the middle of nowhere"... what is that supposed to mean? ☕ 🙂
