Anyway, send me a photo of the pier so I can see the hall! I can't find it online! 🤷 How many people does it hold? What's the price? 😁

"Out in the middle of nowhere"... what is that supposed to mean? ☕ 🙂

I'm keeping an eye on you, 😍

I'll shoot those over to you shortly. The upstairs room is a bit tighter—fits about 170 people—but the downstairs one is twice that size! Last year, they were charging $35 when they took deposits, though I haven't checked if they bumped up the rates this season.

By "beyond the hills," I meant Boise 🤣
just kidding, don't come for me!

Honestly, I think the venue is gorgeous. And the food was top-notch. You can tell the staff really puts their heart into it because, well, it's their livelihood. We could chat more on ☕ and I'll give you the full scoop. 🙂

Damn, I thought she said the upper one held more! 🙂
I guess the price is probably around the same, maybe 35 to 38 bucks, or whatever she told me last time. 🤔

The venue is honestly beautiful. And the food was great. You can tell people actually care because it’s their livelihood. Anyway, I could chat more on ☕ and give you some specifics. 🙂

As far as coffee goes... I'm down! 😍I'll shoot you a message so we can grab coffee with D one day... just bring some photos so I can check out the hall. 😁

So, I thought I’d hop on here and share a little review of my recent wedding 🙂))) I actually picked the venue because the reviews were nothing but glowing, and honestly, they weren't lying. The catering at Chuy's was absolutely spot on—everything was delicious, the service was incredibly quick, and everything just flowed perfectly. The servers were so attentive, too, constantly checking in to make sure our glasses were full and we had everything we needed right away. The atmosphere was just stunning, being right there by the ocean, and even though we couldn't do the cocktail hour on the beach because of some sudden moody weather, it was still a perfect five stars!!!!! The music really set the mood for the whole night, and I am just dying to see the photos, even though it’ll be another month and a half before they’re ready 😢

Hey everyone!

Olivia Lee5 said:frozentiger2, I actually reached out to Siniša again recently, but what I really need is to talk to someone he’s actually photographed before. It would be so helpful to see an entire wedding album rather than just a few highlight shots...

I also checked in with Lisjak, and honestly, his rates seem pretty reasonable... though, I guess if I could find someone he’s worked with who has a decent online portfolio, that would be ideal...

From what I've heard, Matić is charging about $1,500... and when you factor in another $1,000 for the camera gear... well, that's getting a bit steep for Matić...

As for the band... the Pink Panther isn't an option because they're just way too expensive... I really don't want to shell out more than $1,500 for music. I did manage to find a couple of rock bands that fit within that budget, though. But I was wondering—does anyone here have experience with DJs at weddings? Would you recommend going that route? It might actually be a pretty good alternative...

If you haven't locked down a photographer yet... you should just meet with them. Either Sinclair or Fox. Both of them ought to have full albums to show you. We dealt with both. I've seen work from both of them, so now it just comes down to whose style you prefer. Fox is great, too. One friend loved him, while another preferred the other guy.🙄
Personally, I'm leaning toward those more artistic shots, so Sinclair would probably suit me better; he's kind of similar to Matthews (just a bit more affordable and hasn't blown up quite as much yet)🤣
Regarding the band—yeah, they're pricey, but what can you do? If we absolutely *have* to have them, then we have to have them.😂

Oh, and don't even get me started on the DJ—that's a whole different ballgame. My brother had a DJ at his party once and man, it was rough. The guy basically ignored the crowd entirely. In my book, the music is the soul of the party, so there's no point in cheaping out there. On a different occasion, though, we had a setup that was absolutely killer.🤷

I'm dying to know—has anyone here actually checked out Jessy Band? What’s the verdict? I need your honest takes!

If you look at the top of this thread, there's a "Search this topic" option. Just type in Jesse or Jesse band and it'll pull up everything that's been said about them.😉

Hey everyone!

How many people can fit in Amigos? 😁
How many of you guys actually showed up to the party? I'm wondering if the buffet was even big enough to feed everyone. 😁 What's the price, if you don't mind? 😁😁

Are we talking about Sinclair Srdanović? I was scrolling through his photos on Facebook earlier, and honestly, they look pretty good. I guess.

I was just scrolling through some photos of the Papaya studio—they’ve got them up on Facebook too. I have to say, I actually really like their vibe.

I managed to track down Jurica Veić's number. Apparently, he and his wife both work in the industry—someone gave me a solid recommendation. I’m thinking about giving them a call soon to talk numbers and maybe flip through some of their portfolios. 😁

Anyone here actually dealt with any of these guys before?

Cheers...

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some waterproof LED lights for vases? Mine only lasted a few hours before dying on me...

Hey guys, time has seriously flown by—just kidding, the DJ and photographer are already booked, but now I really need to tackle those last few tiny details! ☕
Can anyone give me some recommendations (and shoot me their number in a DM) for a good, budget-friendly florist or maybe a lady who does floral arrangements at home?
Oh, and I almost totally forgot, but since I absolutely have to look stunning, I’m also on the hunt for a makeup artist 😁?? hold on... 👍

I actually picked up a business card from this one girl—if I remember correctly, she works independently...
It's called Matrimony Floral Studio. She handles bouquets, boutonnieres, and basically everything else you could need—plus she rents out vases, stands, linens, chair covers... just general wedding decor stuff. 🙂

Hi,

Does anyone here have experience working with the band Square or photographer Mladen?

Also, does anyone know where I can pick up a ceiling-mounted bubble machine—maybe somewhere in San Francisco?

thanks

Does anyone happen to know where I can find chair slipcovers for rent in St. Louis, and perhaps get an idea of what the general price range looks like?

Hey there, sweetie🙂
We had about 90 people in our group, and honestly, the venue has plenty of room—the space was more than big enough for everyone to spread out comfortably... plus, since it was the middle of summer, we actually got to spend some lovely time hanging out by the pool... I was just so incredibly happy with what we got for the price
in terms of quality, too; it was only about $45 per person, and everything was included except for dessert... I didn't have to stress about a single thing because the owner stayed in the room with us the entire evening, personally making sure everything was running smoothly, so you know it's all under control. Anyway, I really hope this helps you make your decision.
I think they mentioned they can accommodate over 140 people, but if you ask me, keeping it around 100 is probably the sweet spot so everyone has breathing room and you don't end up with tables all crammed together and stuff.🙂
Best,

I’m getting married next year—probably around April or May—so if anyone could give me the lowdown on the ballroom and the food at the Boston Dynamics venue in the Bay Area or at the Marriott, I’d appreciate it.

Tia, I tried to DM you, but your inbox is full... As for me, I had my party at Boston Dynamics. It was perfectly fine...

I went ahead and cleared out my inbox. At the end of the day—it’s all about the food being good. You can't please everyone, obviously—some people want more salt, others less...
