Hey everyone,
we're currently hunting for a venue for our wedding up in San Francisco, and I was wondering if anyone here has any firsthand experience—or maybe even attended a wedding—over at the Rose Bowl?

Thanks!

I attended a wedding where The Cars played; they were actually a decent wedding band 👍

Honestly, when it comes to Papaya, you really get what you pay for. 😁 Their shots are absolutely stunning, and if you think about it, their prices aren't even that much higher than the others... their basic package starts right around $1,600.

I actually attended a wedding there once where they held the pre-church gathering at Lori. Since the weather was pretty warm, most of the guests hung out on that outdoor terrace. Overall, I really liked the vibe. Is there anything else you're curious about? 😉

I wasn't really feeling Taxi bend... went to a close friend's wedding, heard a million Tom Petty songs, everything was just super sappy. But that was like five years ago, maybe they're actually killing it now.
People say the Rose Bowl in San Francisco is stuck in the South 😁

It has always been this way, and it will continue to be. The entry-level photo and video package is $1,600. However, when you compare that to other vendors—for instance, for $1,950 you might get two photographers, two videographers, parent albums, guest albums, and two copies for the couple... plus, second-day coverage is often included in that price. With Papaya, all of those extras come with an additional fee.

I have been listening to them online, and the atmosphere they create is excellent. They’ve added a female vocalist to the mix now, which works well. I spoke with my contacts about them, and they are truly powerful.

I recently came across some footage from a wedding back in 2012 where The Beach Boys were performing. To be perfectly honest, they sounded quite mediocre to my ears at the time. However, after listening to their recordings online, I find myself thoroughly impressed.
It all depends on how you negotiate the terms. Personally, I find it quite tedious when they push an excessive amount of material from just one single artist. It gets old quickly.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I'm actually heading out to check out the venue today, so hopefully I'll have a better feel for the place soon. 🙂
Basically, what I really care about is the food and the service quality—if anyone here has any inside scoop, I'd be super grateful for the help!

Hey everyone, just checking in as a newly engaged bride-to-be! 😍
I’ve noticed how much information changes over time, so I wanted to share what my fiancé and I have booked so far for our October 5th, 2013 wedding. Please feel free to jump in with your thoughts or advice—I'd love to know what we should be looking out for if you've heard anything about these lately:
Venue: Honeycomb Hall (that smaller, prettier space that holds up to 200 guests)
Band: The Dice (booked for $1,500)
Photographer: Mladen Photo (we're also using them for our invitations and thank-you cards)
Dress: Found this gorgeous thing near the coast (I know it's early, but I found a dress that is totally "me" on sale for just $433, and now it's just sitting in my closet waiting... 🤣)
Also, has anyone here tried buying wedding favors or little details through eBay? Would love to hear about your experiences...
Sorry if I'm being a bit much! 🙂

I've bought a ton of stuff there, and it's always been great. What specifically are you looking for? 🙂

I was browsing Craigslist and found a few listings from that boutique. There was one absolutely stunning dress for only $233, and I honestly couldn't decide between the two. I can post pictures if you guys want to see them. I have no idea why the prices are so low—maybe they’re older styles or have been rented out a bunch of times—but you truly can't tell by looking at them. Even I was shocked... I was reading online that girls are paying upwards of $1333 just to rent a gown. Even that high-end boutique had a gorgeous one for about 😲, maybe around $833. I'll definitely upload the photos so you can judge for yourselves😍

I just ordered a few little things—a petticoat, a veil, a tiara, a hairpiece, a garter... so I'm just wondering if everything will actually show up 🤣

Well, if you've checked the seller's feedback and it looks solid—ideally with zero negative reviews—then you should be good to go 🙂

I ended up grabbing mine from them for $233. It was such a lifesaver, really. I don't think I would've found anything else that cheap where I could actually try it on first and not have to wait like 30 days or more for shipping. 😍

Was it the one with the rose pattern on the side and those little rhinestones on the chest? You know, the one with the sweetheart neckline? 😍

Not really. I've never been a fan of polka dots, and honestly, white just isn't my color.😬Mine is ivory. It’s got an embroidered corset on top and then a tulle skirt underneath, also in ivory.😁
