My wedding isn't even until August, and I’ve already gone and found my dress 😁
I honestly found exactly what I was looking for right away, so I just had to jump on here and give a huge shoutout to La Perla!! 🙂

and honestly, I’m starting to feel that low-key panic setting in—I’ve already got the venue, the church, the band, and the photographer locked in
Now I was thinking about getting the tuxes sorted, but I have absolutely no clue what to do for the favors, and I'm still just tossing ideas around for the invitations in my head... basically, I still need flowers, the cake, dessert, makeup, hair, shoes... I really hope I can get everything done in time

Of course you'll make it happen, provided you don't wait until the very last second to move
My wedding was in June, too. I found my officiant right away, then moved straight into printing the invitations and ordering the cake, and I finally sorted out the rest about a month before the big day. Just a heads up, though—if you're planning on doing hair and makeup trials, you should probably book those ASAP so you aren't left scrambling, and definitely get your florist reserved early so you can actually sit down and iron out the tiny details later

We aren't alone in this. Our date is May 2nd—venue, photographer, and band are already locked in. I have a decent idea for the invitations, and I'm currently arranging some custom soaps for the thank-you gifts, just so we don't end up looking completely uninspired...

The dress, the flowers, the sweets, the cake, the shoes, the makeup, the hair... I am nowhere near ready😍

Flowers—that's what's next on my list. Does anyone happen to know a reasonably priced florist in San Francisco or the surrounding area???

Hey there! I'm finally jumping in here too 🙂. My big day is coming up this September, and I've already locked in the venue, the photographer, and the band... I've been pretty decisive so far, but we'll see how things go with the rest of the planning

Just picked up a suit today, feeling pretty good about it... Is it actually worth holding out for the Wedding expo coming up in February??? Might be able to snag a decent discount if I wait. 🙂

Well, it really just comes down to what you're looking for, doesn't it? You can definitely find some solid deals, so what's the harm in waiting a bit to see what they have on offer—even if, personally, I wasn't exactly blown away by them last year.

Timothy Fisher50 said:To be totally honest with you, I’m not really sure. We actually loved the area where we stayed, and I remember thinking the restaurant looked quite lovely on the inside when we passed by, though we didn't end up going there very often since it wasn't really an option for us once our group size grew. Have you made a final call on which restaurant you're going with yet?

And still nothing. 😢I'm heading over to that Unknown spot in a few days. We got turned away from Velum because they won't deal with us unless we have at least 100 people—they're only interested in the profit. 🙂They completely ruined my plans. I was really looking forward to this, but whatever... It’s obvious everything is just about the money these days.

Ugh, that's such a bummer... we had a similar experience where we were rejected from those massive convention halls just because our guest list fell below 150..
I heard that the venue at the Grand Hyatt is actually accepting smaller groups, and honestly, that place is absolutely stunning

The place I looked at near Unknown gave me an ultimatum... if you do a Friday wedding, you can have as many or as few people as you want. But if you want a Saturday? You’re looking at a minimum of 140.😛

Hey everyone, before I start hunting for options, I wanted to see if anyone has been to a party at Unknown or in San Antonio lately? What are the prices looking like for 2024?

A lot of people rave about them for smaller gatherings, so I’m curious about the food—has the quality dropped or anything like that? I have an option over at a place in Seattle, but it's running about $47 per person.

Also, I'm looking into the Radisson Blu. Not the outdoor beach party, but I saw photos of a gorgeous restaurant near the pool area. They have a package with a standard menu, a suite for the newlyweds, and decor for $107 per person. I'm not sure if it's actually worth it, though the location looks stunning.

Does anyone know when the engagement course dates are at St. Peter's in San Francisco? I need them for February.

God, has anyone actually been to a party where DJ Joško Milun was spinning, you know, basically the guy who plays at the local pub on the outskirts...
Thanks in advance for any leads, because we're really hoping to book him for our big day...

Maria Bailey4 I gave them a call—they have an opening from Sunday, January 12th through the 14th
And then there's another window in February, from the 9th to the 11th.
You just need to show up that Sunday at 7:45 PM to get signed up... and that's really it. No advanced notice needed and you don't even need to bring any paperwork.
I didn't ask about the cost, I totally blanked on that part🙂 so maybe just bring some cash just in case.
I'm planning on doing the same thing during the second month myself...

Yeah, I know the first window is this Sunday, but my guy's got work stuff on Monday, so we're pushing it to the second month. So... see y'all in February? 😉

I was thinking about going too, but my job makes it impossible to commit to all three days, so I'm out.
My pastor told me I only need to show up for the first meeting and can skip the other two. He's a great guy, so I'm honestly bummed I can't make it work. Have fun, you guys!

Which church did you guys pick for the wedding?
I met him and he’s just such a chill, laid-back guy... honestly, he's great 🙂
