Man, I am seriously torn here... I heard that Barbara loves being the center of attention and leans pretty heavily into that country-pop stuff. I don't know—she definitely knows how to get a crowd going, but if she goes all out with those cheesy hits, I’m worried. Now I'm stuck—I really want a killer atmosphere, but I don't want it to be too over-the-top or feel like some loud, tacky backyard bash...
How was yours? Like, how do they handle those classic California songs?
Ugh, what a headache...

How were they when you saw them? How do they handle those classic West Coast songs?
Man, what a headache...

At the party I went to, there wasn't even a hint of that country stuff....
As for them wanting to be the main attraction as a band... honestly, if you're this conflicted, the best move is to catch them playing at a local festival or something. That way, you'll know exactly what you're getting into....

I had a blast with them! Everything was perfect—hardly any breaks, and the dance floor was packed the whole night...👍

Does anyone happen to have a photo of the Diocletian restaurant over in Malibu?
For those who attended the wedding held there, I’m curious about your take on the overall vibe, the quality of the food, and how the staff handled everything.
Thanks.

I need some help here! Can anyone recommend a solid videographer who can pull off those end-of-video recaps in that Focus style, where the cuts actually sync up perfectly with the beat of the music? 🙏

I attended a party there earlier this year, and honestly, the venue is absolutely stunning; as for the food, it’s straight-up Major League Baseball quality—easily one of the best dining experiences I've had lately—and the staff is incredibly attentive, always hovering right by your table to make sure you aren't missing a single thing... 👍

Hey girls, could you help me decide who to book? I’m torn between Major League Baseball, Pink Panther, Bomb, or Flash Band... does anyone happen to know what their rates are looking like lately?? Bravo and Viva are already booked up, and my date is October 9th, 2010. 😢
Thanks so much in advance, ladies...

And honestly, it's not even about whether I can hit the high notes—I just really need them to nail that legendary vocal harmony for us!! 🙄

Hey Eric Barrett26,

So my wedding is coming up this September and I finally caught Major League Baseball performing yesterday! Seriously, those guys are incredible—huge props to them! I heard some people say the Pink Panther is kind of mid... and honestly, most of the other bands you mentioned aren't even on my radar. (Except maybe Bomb, they seem alright enough.)
Look, you really can't go wrong with Major League Baseball, and if you want to grab their contact info, just hit me up... good luck! 😉 Also—and don't forget this part—you better get your stuff sorted ASAP because everyone is booking up fast... or rather, most of them already are...

Personally, I've seen The Beach Boys play... but I've also been to parties where all those bolded bands performed. Honestly? They all delivered incredible harmonies.

My ranking was The Beach Boys, then Viva, then Major League Baseball. If I had to vote, I'd go with Major League Baseball. With that tight vocal layering they pull off, they have a lead singer who really knows how to command a room.👍

Flash if you're into that more urban sound. 👍 The band is incredible, but honestly—it really comes down to who you're partying with. They can nail anything from Belan to the Governor, or even Guns N' Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers. But if your crew only wants to dance to Mickey Mouse or Bešlić, then all that talent doesn't really matter.

So, my advice? Figure out exactly who you're trying to reach first—know your crowd—before you commit to any of these bands.

The Flash is going for 2,000 bucks.

Always me, always talking about music... people really shouldn't confuse what a "band" actually is.
Viva, Yellow Cab, Pink Panther—those are actual bands (4 or 5 performers, live drums, bass guitar).
Bomb, Dada, Cher, and Major League Baseball—those aren't bands (just a synthesizer and a guitar).
The strangest part is that the prices are almost identical—some duos end up being more expensive than full bands.
Last Saturday, I was at a party where a duo was booked, but Adam Bishop20's brother is a top-tier guitarist who eventually took over the lead, and his three bandmates completely overshadowed the supposed "duo"... everyone was on their feet.

It's the same thing with hiring accompaniment for a choir. I think the only group still doing that around here is the San Francisco choir, so I watch closely to see who shows up when a choir is announced.
Countless times I've shown up to a party where a choir was promised, only to find some duo or trio in sailor shirts instead.

Stop mixing up these terms—otherwise, you have no idea what you're paying for, and usually, you end up paying too much.

I’m with you on that! But seriously, at the end of the day, the vibe is everything—whether they have a guitar, drums, or whatever else... like, I saw the Pink Panther playing at this party maybe a month ago and they were literally "awful"! My friend—well, she's a close pal—was so bummed out about it. They kept taking breaks constantly, repeating the same songs over and over, and the energy? It was just... I don't even know! Still, I think the most important thing is what the kids actually want—what kind of music they're into + how they coordinate with the band (the setlist, the breaks, how long they play, etc.). Last week I was at this party where the music was totally on point, absolutely incredible! The guys really brought the energy, even without a drum kit. But nowadays... everyone just does their own thing! For me, it's gotta be Major League Baseball level—I think I missed out... when I called Viva, they acted so stuck-up... lecturing me over the phone just because I looked for a restaurant first instead of a band...

Eric Barrett26, I am seriously so sorry about this... but look, maybe you can just reschedule the restaurant or the church for next week or even the week after? You know what, I’m positive you’ll find something awesome. Everything else is totally tip-top! Honestly, the vibe my sister put together was absolutely unforgettable. So, when’s the party?

Does anyone happen to have a photo from a wedding at the Hilton, or maybe a shot of the ballroom itself? Also, if anyone’s actually attended a reception there, I'd love to hear your honest take on the place...
