Olivia Gomez2 if you don't mind me asking, which florist are we talking about?
exactly, that's my fear... those numbers might end up being impossible to walk away from...
I'm looking at peonies, ranunculus, and things of that nature...
and I want plenty of it; I need six arrangements for the church, fifty centerpieces for the reception, plus our own table, and I'd love a large floral sphere in the middle of the dance floor... though I suppose I'd be scaling back the whole production...😢

p.s. a photographer, oh yes😍

Yeah, it could end up costing you quite a bit—you have so many tables, and when you add everything up, especially since you want that lush, high-end look.
The florist I used is Mosaic, run by Susan. They're located near the Ivan Meštrović Wedding Chapel, right by the Inine Gas Station—they actually moved there once they started building Eurodom.
She photographs pretty much everything she does, so you can browse through her albums and maybe pick up a few ideas... She also provides all the stands—tall ones, low vases, martini glasses, wrought iron stands, little vases in every shape imaginable—so that's all included in the price for me.
She even sets up a big curtain backdrop behind the head table and decorates the pillars... basically, she handles the entire setup. I didn't have to lift a finger.
I went to see her with some pictures from the internet—things closest to what I wanted—and in the end, I was just so happy with how everything was arranged.

I didn't quite catch you there—do we have the same photographer? I know a girl who Maya is photographing on May 28th, so maybe we've met before!

Mosaic, perhaps... I suppose I'll have to deal with those details eventually. Thank you.
The problem is my venue is in Indianapolis, so that might impact both the logistics and the budget... though I have a habit of leaving everything until the last minute... the flowers, the wedding dress...
I don't think it's strictly necessary to have it all settled this early... yet it is. Seeing how much you've already organized, I must say, well done.

We might even know one another 😉 you never truly knows...
But for me, the portrait of the deer 🙂

Oh, so we don't know each other—I was thinking of a different girl.
I don't think having what you guys have in Indianapolis would drive the price up, and have you thought about getting your flowers there instead?
A friend of mine in Cleveland paid for $2333 her flowers, and she had 45 tables to cover. It wasn't even close to what we're discussing, though she did have a gorgeous bouquet. So, you can pretty much piece things together however you want.
And I haven't actually organized everything—we've only knocked out the big stuff: the band, the photographer, the flowers, and the venue. I've put a lot of effort into the flowers because I just love them, it's more important to me than, say, the dress.
I haven't even started looking at wedding dresses yet, nor do I plan to before March... I'm waiting for the bridal shows and for the new collections to come out, plus I'm currently on a diet 😍

Does anyone happen to know any good wedding caterers in Columbus or the surrounding areas? We aren't looking to pay per head—that just isn't how we're doing things—and we have everything else locked in except for the food... please help me out here 😢

I haven't personally vetted these—just found them online—so you might want to browse some local ads or check the papers... or honestly, just ask at the venue itself. They usually know which caterers they work with, and they can give you a solid recommendation...
If you don't mind me asking, which venue did you book for the wedding? And does that place provide their own chefs and servers?

The hall is out in Chepín. We actually booked the servers and chefs through them, but the guy mentioned we could look elsewhere if we wanted more options... so I guess I'm just looking for anyone who has some first-hand experience to share.

We finally locked down the Elegant venue on the Island! Since the groom is from Columbus, it just made sense, and honestly, the place is stunning. We went with a standard menu—soup, roast, stuffed cabbage, lamb, pork, plus various cakes and pastries. For the wedding party, it’s up to $700 per person. Drinks include almost everything: pear brandy, another specialty, soda, juice, sparkling water, coffee, and bubbly. Table centerpieces go up to $6.75, and the wedding party ones are up to $300, though we can always upgrade. Security is also sorted; it’s $160 per person if there are over 250 guests, or $170 if there are fewer than 250.
We also booked Krizmanić for photography at $4,800 plus tips. He is incredibly easy to work with! Even though I was scouting alone without my fiancé, he was totally transparent and helpful. He told us we could call him for any little detail and that we have total flexibility to make things work for us.
Now we just need to find music, but hopefully, that happens soon... So, that's how our planning is going so far!

So, we held our wedding ceremony over in Napa Valley, followed by dinner at a Kroger restaurant nearby—and honestly, we couldn’t have been happier. Our guests were all over us afterward, telling us how fantastic everything was. There was plenty of room to breathe, the food was top-tier, and the service? Fast, seamless, and they stayed out of the way just enough to let things flow...

For photo and video, we went with Mickey. We haven’t actually gotten our footage back yet (should be sometime next week), but I can already tell you—those guys are absolute pros.

As for the band, we hired SAN for $750. They played the entire night straight through, only pausing while we were eating dinner. We were beyond thrilled with them.

Honestly, I’d recommend all three of them in a heartbeat.👍

So, Mickey was just telling us all about attending a wedding over at Kroger tonight—which I assume means you two were 😁
there? Great. We’ve certainly had our fill of all those glowing compliments 😉

Jelena and Maja

I'm lost here
The per-person rate for a 250-350 guest count is 160, but if it's under 250, it jumps to 170.

Actually, the Zamp fee is a flat rate—anywhere from 700 to $333 depending on the setlist, not the headcount
Did you actually run those numbers right? If there are 250 people, then Zamp comes out to 40$0.00
Am I totally misreading this?

Nathan Cox25, you just pay a flat fee and it comes out to about $267, regardless of how many guests show up.. Isn't that just how things work in Columbus? A friend of mine had a crowd of around 400 people and paid roughly 800.. We're looking at about 250-300 guests and he quoted us 800, so the guest count doesn't seem to matter at all..

I guess that makes us 😍

We’ll probably swing by this Saturday morning to grab the photos—in the morning, obviously 😁

Someone seriously screwed you over if that's what they told you 😲
there's actually this specific pricing sheet they follow—I don't know the exact rates offhand—but for 250-300 people, there is absolutely no way it's $267
we ended up paying $127 for 200 people

There’s already been enough talk about Zampa—there’s an entire thread dedicated to that mess. But I’m just reposting this one specific comment from a girl I saw earlier—quoting her again here.

zamp Just my personal take—nothing more.It’s 160 if you’re looking at 250 to 350—otherwise, if it's under 250, it’s 170. Simple enough.

I don't think Zamp bills by the individual—not that I know how you managed to get such a low rate, Maya, but usually it's around... $333.
The shade from the hall covers us—but honestly, if it were... $57 Personally, if you’re sitting at fewer than 250 people—it's just a bit too much for me. 😲

There is a florist everyone raves about who isn't particularly expensive... so I might check them out too...
I went downtown yesterday and stepped into a bridal salon... it was a disappointment. Not a single dress made me want to try it on. They were nice enough, and I tried a few, but none of them made me jump for joy. I thought about waiting until after the New Year to start my search, but I suppose I should look sooner, just in case I end up needing time for alterations...
p.s. After last night, I'm starting a diet too 😍
p.s. 2 Does anyone know when the bridal shows are scheduled? They were held in January and February this year...
