Hey, does anyone know if there's a jeweler from Washington, D.C. at the fair in Indianapolis? 😬
I know it's a long shot, but I'm hunting for a Križek flyer, and if I can snag one here, I won't have to trek all the way to Madison Square Garden 🤣

I remember there was this one jeweler from Washington, D.C. staying at the hotel last year—I can't quite recall which one, honestly—but I do remember those wedding bands being absolutely stunning.
See you all at the trade show!😍

Yeah, yeah, I definitely got my wires crossed there...
I mean, that’s what I thought too, I just managed to scramble the dates... 🤣

just so everyone who isn't in the loop knows—the wedding expo starts on January 16th at the Hilton and runs through Sunday...
Hmm. If I recall correctly, Studio 69 is actually based out of Indianapolis.

One guy is from Indianapolis and the other is from Warsaw, though their headquarters are technically in Warsaw. That part confused me at first too, I guess.🙂

Does anyone have any good recommendations for florists or gift shops around the Savannah area?
#2568 ·
If you're looking for flowers, I know Stella and Palm from the Savannah area—they're the best ones I've come across! 🙂
As for photos in Savannah, you could check out Brzica Photography, Zoom, or Ilija Photography, though there might be a few others out there too...

Yeah, but if you could throw some recommendations my way along with a ballpark figure on what I should expect to pay, that would be great.
thanks

We checked out both Brzica Photography and Zoom, and they both quoted us around $1167... we ended up going with Brzica, even though I honestly thought they were pretty much the same level
As for flowers, Palm totally blew me away! We already locked them in. They wouldn't give me an exact price, though—apparently, it just depends on what you're looking for...

Believe me, you won't regret spending a single cent on them. I've been to a few weddings where they played, and honestly, I was just blown away! I danced so much that I didn't even notice my feet hurting. I didn't realize how bad it was until I checked my legs the next day! 🤣
If I remember right, they're playing a welcome event at the plaza in Columbus, so if you don't have plans, maybe a quick trip to Columbus would let you check them out!
We ended up finding some other group in the end. 🙂I think it's an orchestra. To be honest, I have no clue how they sound. We got them through a recommendation from a good friend who used to play in a band himself but had to quit because of work. So, I trust his word! Whatever happens, happens!
I guess I can only hope everything turns out okay!
Don't even sweat the music situation. Last year, we had a Full band play for us. The song selection, the vibe, the sound quality—everything was spot on. And here's a fun little fact: they actually have a girl who sings and plays the drums at the same time! 😉

Thanks so much for the pep talk! We actually picked up a few DVDs of them performing, and I gotta say, they aren't bad at all! I’m actually pretty happy with how they sound. I guess the only thing I'm wondering about is those background sounds they play during the songs... did you guys have that too?
I'm not really feeling that, or well, maybe not super much! Maybe it could work for a couple of tracks where it fits, but not the whole time!
I wonder if it's even possible to ask them not to do that?

I ended up going with David Photography! The photographer's name is David and his shots are seriously incredible!!! They don't look fake at all—you can actually see every single detail and shade clearly!!! For the price, you get $1400-an album, 300 photos, and 3 DVDs. But honestly, you can just tell him what you're looking for and he'll put together a custom package for you!😍

Hi everyone 🙂
..It seems like this forum is a goldmine for good information, which is super!
..We’re just starting to get organized, but we're taking it slow since we have a full year to prepare.. I was wondering if anyone might know where I could rent some white event tents in the Midwest? We'd need enough space for about 100 people, just in case it rains when the groom comes to pick me up.. and does anyone have an idea of what the approximate cost might be?? thanks 😉

Vigus from Indianapolis was at the Wedding Expo today. They have a branch in Indianapolis behind the Super store too, and they have a 5x7 tent for $233, not sure if they carry other sizes...

Where are you guys picking up drinks—both sodas and alcohol—plus the desserts for hosting guests before heading out to church and the reception hall? Looking for spots around Indianapolis and the surrounding areas... also, are you planning on having pre-packaged treats to hand out to people as they leave the venue? How much should I actually get?

I don't really know about Indianapolis specifically, but I guess it might be smartest to grab your drinks from a warehouse club like Costco or Sam's Club. That way you can stock up big so you don't run out, and if there's extra, maybe you can return it? At least that's what I did!
As for desserts in Indy, I only know from my own experience. Back when I was in college, I lived in Indianapolis and I know a ton of people go to those Caitlin's Bakery spots over on Divaltov. I actually went once because I was craving something sweet. And, honestly, I was pretty disappointed! Personally, I'm not a huge fan of their stuff because they just lack flavor to me.
What I did was find a couple of local bakeries near me and bought just a few pieces first to taste them, and then I went back to place a full order. Mostly just because those Caitlin's pastries look so pretty, but they weren't actually yummy to me.
Oh, and yeah, we already arranged for those little gift baskets of sweets to be delivered right to the venue. We're going to pack the small treats from the tables into plastic containers. It’ll be the same way we have our giveaway treats packed, just with smaller boxes. I think I'll just need to buy some little bags for the boxes so people don't have to carry them around loosely in their hands.

There's a place in a small town in Ohio and another one, but I can't recall the name right now... basically, whatever you don't drink, you return... As for the pastries, it just depends on how big of a plastic container you grab, but those places know exactly what they're doing, so honestly, just ask them... personally, I don't sweat the details too much, but everyone loves leftovers the next day, so I'm still mulling it over!! Maybe I'll just order from Grandma's Bakery or maybe Magnolia... I think that's the name.. my aunt works there and their cakes are actually bigger than Grandma's, plus they're a little cheaper!! 😍

You can always grab your drinks at big retail hubs—like a Walmart or Target—and then just return whatever you didn't open later... that's our plan for the beer, anyway. As for the rest of the booze, we usually head over to Canada, or we're planning a trip to Mexico where, for example, a case of Coca-Cola is way cheaper $3.00.
We’ll definitely have sweets to pass out—usually about a third of a pound per little baggie—and we'll have exactly as many bags as we have thank-you notes.
I’d highly recommend Dundo iz Josipovac; she makes my desserts, and they are honestly delicious and look stunning.
They’ll actually pack them into little boxes for us, which is already included in the price.

If there's anything else you're wondering about, feel free to ask!

Has anyone here ordered pastries or a wedding cake from the Crown? I’m curious to hear your thoughts on whether the quality actually justifies the price tag.
Thanks!🙂
Thanks!🙂
