Jesse Morgan73 said:Well, here's how I handled it... You usually get three different tiers to choose from. The budget option was $25 per person. That covers things like Midwest-style meat platters, various fresh salads, pasta salads, bread, cheese and ham pastries, fruit, full cutlery service, high-top cocktail tables, buffet and bar tables, plus all the setup and arrangement. In my experience, they tend to overcater quite a bit, so if you have 100 guests, I guess you could probably just book for 70! Then there’s the second tier, which is everything in the first one but adds in some canapé sandwiches, and that runs $28 per head. Finally, the third option includes everything from the first tier plus hot entrees ($32). Anyway, I hope that helps a little!

Thanks, that really helps 🙂 I'm leaning toward that third option combined with a few items from the first one—I'll see if I can negotiate a deal with them.👍

👋
I need some help finding a photographer in St. Louis. Looking for recommendations and a ballpark idea of what a larger package might run me.

Oliver's Art Studio, or just Mike doing freelance work
For studios, check out Foto Tref, Mirror Photo, or Photo Top
Those were my absolute favorites! 🙂 Good luck!

I hadn't heard of Mike before, so I did a quick search—he's actually great.
But his prices compared to Oliver's? I felt like I was dealing with Mirror Studio or Photo Max yesterday.

Mike stays pretty busy and definitely charges a premium, but he's worth it... I actually work with Oliver, so I'll shoot you a DM.

So we’ve got Mike, and honestly, his whole package is costing us $2867 without even a single thank you, though I suppose instead of Mike taking the photo, it'll probably be Krešo! If you can even make sense of what that means

Has anyone here actually worked with Victoria Makeup—she’s the one on Facebook?
I was thinking about reaching out to her for some services, but I wanted to see if anyone had any firsthand experience first. Has anyone heard anything—good, bad, or even just a heads-up—about her work?
Thanks so much!🙂

Jesse Morgan73 said:Maybe try reaching out to Bulgarian Catering; we’re using them for our event and they’ll be providing the staff, but apparently, if we want more servers than what's included in their base package, there’s an extra fee. So, it might actually be worth looking into just hiring servers separately, regardless of whether you go with their catering service or not!

Do you happen to know if I can just hire their servers and drinks without the trays? My boyfriend is handling the food since I'm hosting at my apartment, so it doesn't make sense to bring in extra hands when it's already going to be crowded 😉 and we have our own trays because he keeps everything at home specifically for occasions like this, so we won't need theirs..

I mean, wouldn't it be easier to just get the drinks from a warehouse or something where you pay as you go and return the rest? Then maybe you could just get the servers from that Bulgarian guy????

I guess you could try heading over there to talk to them and see if they'll work with you. As for having everything ready at home, maybe you could just bring your own meat and let them handle the garnishing? Though, honestly, it might be smarter to just pick up the beer in Bielic or somewhere similar like that!

Jesse Morgan73 said:I'm running into the exact same issue... using Microsoft too, and I'm also hoping for purple, though I'm not sure if they'll even let us bring our own covers. I was thinking about giving them a call sometime this week to ask!

A local shop in Savannah rents out chair covers. I used them because I was dead set on those purple ones at Zelenkrov, and they do decor too. You can reach out to Ms. Suza; her info is right there on the site www.pozivnice.org. I paid $2.25/piece.

I haven't personally used her services, but I've heard nothing but glowing reviews. I actually reached out to her myself, and we're setting up a trial makeup session right after Easter. I'll be sure to circle back to this thread and let you all know how it went!! 🙂

Thanks for the heads-up!!! I actually took a look at those covers already, but I don't know... I'm not really feeling them. I had a slightly different vision for how I wanted the setup to look—something more substantial, maybe using tulle or something similar. I might try to work something out with Helen to see if I can rent just the plain covers from her, and then I could probably just make my own decorative overlays. At least, that’s the plan if I can actually get her to agree to it!!! 🤷

Hey there! Does anyone know where I can find some photos of the makeup looks done by Helen? I'm really curious to see her style since everyone seems to be raving about her work, but I haven't been able to track down any pictures online. Also, does anyone happen to know if Helen works outside of Savannah? I was wondering if there might be an option for her to travel to another city for a session.

Check eBay. 🙂 I found a ton of stuff, and honestly, buying everything there is way cheaper than trying to rent it here. 😁 You can always flip them once everything settles down; purple is pretty high in demand, so you'll be fine.

That sounds awesome—I'm actually planning on reaching out to her myself very soon; I just hope her calendar isn't already slammed when my date rolls around...
Please, please give us an update once you're done...🙂

Paul Garcia20 said:If anyone happens to be hunting for a makeup artist in the Indianapolis area, I really can't recommend John Marjanović enough. I booked her for a wedding recently and honestly, I was blown away—and so were all the guests who saw me. In fact, a friend of mine just booked her for her own wedding, so there'll be six of us getting our faces done on May 7th!
$50She works with high-end brands like Mac, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Dior, which is a huge plus, though I suppose part of the reason people flock to her is that she’s working from home while her little one is still quite small.
My makeup stayed absolutely flawless from about 11 in the morning all the way until I finally crawled into bed at 4 in the morning—it didn't budge. The only thing I had to touch up was my lipstick, mostly because of all the eating and drinking throughout the night. 😬 And seriously, the foundation didn't melt off at all; even though I was sweating quite a bit and kept dabbing at my face with tissues, everything stayed perfectly in place.
I'll send you her contact info via private message, since I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to post phone numbers here. 😉

Can someone send me John Maranovic's number?? Thanks in advance!
