Eye doctor recommendations?

I need to go in for an eye exam. I'm pretty sure my prescription has changed, so I'm looking for some recommendations on where to get it done. Ideally somewhere on the West Side—maybe near Santa Monica or Venice? Also, does anyone know what the damage is going to be? Like, what’s the typical cost for the exam plus new lenses? I used to go to my old man's buddy, so I have zero clue how much things cost these days. Thanks!

I headed over to see a lady up near Times Square... didn't end up paying a dime, and honestly, I walked away completely satisfied with how things went.

I should probably mention that this was just a one-time thing—so I can't exactly promise they'll always be this generous or consistent.

The optometrist over at Ghetaldus on Broadway (down in the basement level) is also really, really solid. Especially if you don't have anything major going on and just need a routine checkup or a quick prescription update...
