Consider me the official spokesperson for all you recreational lifters fed up with how this board is being run. I’ve cleared this thread with the higher-ups at the corporate office. 😁

The whole point here is to call out certain moderator moves—and some user behavior too—without letting this spiral into endless, pointless bickering. And yeah, before you ask, this thread will be moderated. 😁 We aren't looking to start a bloodbath or deal with everyone screaming in our ears; we’re looking for actual, useful solutions. 😉

Ultimately, we want to build an Master FAQ Thread that lays down the law on what’s allowed and what isn't 😬. It should make life easier for us and the mods alike.

Phase three of this little project—fingers crossed—would be getting the green light to allow constructive feedback on the Meal Tracker threads, rather than just lists of food. Of course, everything would have to follow the new FAQ rules. That’s where we started in the first place, so hopefully, we can head back there eventually. 😬 It’s the natural order of things—even a Fortune 500 CEO or a psychic could see that coming. 😬

Naturally, these same guidelines will apply to current threads and any new ones popping up later.

So, look, instead of just hating on each other, let's try to actually get along. At the end of the day, we're all just people. 😁

Best,
quietpilot87, Spokesperson for the recreational crowd 😁

And why hasn't the moderator bothered to just consolidate all the good posts into one thread and lock it?

Because the moderator doesn't exactly have nothing better to do than hunt down every decent post on the board all day.🤣

Hey everyone, I’m heading out for a round of bridge, so feel free to keep bickering while I'm gone—and don't come complaining to me later that I didn't weigh in on the drama. 🤣

No, you won't...

atlantis said:why don't you guys set it up so the thread clears itself out over time...

For instance, maybe every week we just wipe any posts older than ten days that aren't actually adding anything useful to the conversation...

I think the core of what I was trying to say was that nobody is really digging through the archives anyway; people usually just skim the last two or three replies. If that's the case, leaving a bunch of extra comments feels pretty pointless, especially if those comments weren't originally meant for the people they're directed at. We don't need another endless chat room thread, because that's exactly how these discussions tend to devolve.

Essentially, here are your options:

1. No comments allowed at all in the food log threads.
2. Constructive feedback is fine, but anything that isn't helpful will be penalized (perhaps a bit more strictly than usual).

To put it bluntly, it looks like someone else finally noticed that too. 🤣

Anyway, it's probably time for me to clear out these old posts we've been dragging along and let us start (almost) from scratch. We've drifted way too far from the original topic.

1. zero comments allowed on the food diary
2. constructive feedback is fine, but anything else gets punished (a bit harsher than usual)

I see our little forum revolution has triggered the usual counter-revolution—you know, where the mods go full hammer mode just to protect the status quo. I wouldn't say the revolution failed because its goals were too vague, though; they’re actually pretty much in line with what we want to fix here and apply to everyone. But since you gave us an "either/or" choice, I guess I should ask if we can just pick option two and call it a deal? Or should we start a new thread to write protest signs and chant slogans? We could even belt out some Libertarian Party anthems like "Protect Your Dream" or whatever.
....makes me want to sing....come on, tvuk, be a pal and just spin the world back one notch....-I know you don't have the power to do it, but at least fix this one thing for us😍
