On a certain date back in the day, I first signed up for Reddit, which naturally meant I was also part of the community over at CNN.

II. My marriage to this platform has produced countless threads; currently, there are 59 active discussions spread across CNN and some other niche sites, racking up 15,106 replies and over 582,363 views.

III. Eventually, on a specific date, I had to walk away from that community because it simply wasn't sustainable anymore, thanks to a unilateral decision made by the CNN administration.

IV. There was no attempt at mediation through the Department of Social Services prior to my "divorce" from the site, mostly because we both knew it wouldn't have changed anything.

Since Reddit has effectively cut me off from my own content—even while claiming that the responsibility for those threads lies with the author rather than the platform itself—I am formally submitting this request and expect a proposal for an out-of-court settlement. I am insisting on either migrating all my threads to a space where I actually have access or having them promptly deleted. It is completely unacceptable to be left in a position where I can't reach my own posts, especially ones that have garnered over half a million reads, so I look forward to a swift response regarding my demand.

Sincerely,

/insert name here/

Look, I’m sorry, but topics don't just get moved around simply because the person who started them wants them elsewhere. It really matters that they stay right where they fit best from a thematic standpoint—wherever makes the most sense for the conversation—regardless of whether the founder decides a few years down the road that they’d rather have them tucked away somewhere else.

It’s much more important that they stay where they actually fit best within the community structure, regardless of whether the original poster decides a few years down the road that they’d rather have them somewhere else.

But the creator isn't actually "asking" for anything.
The reality is that the creator has been locked out of their own discussions, leaving them with zero ability to participate anymore. We're talking about thread number 59 here. With over 15,000 replies and nearly 600,000 views, let's be honest—that kind of engagement is a massive deal and shouldn't be ignored.

I’m still standing my ground on this: they either need to be moved to a proper home or just deleted altogether.

The OP has been locked out of the threads, which basically means they can't participate in the discussions anymore. We're talking about 59 threads here. With over 15,000 replies and nearly 600,000 views, let's be honest—that’s no small feat.

I’m still standing my ground on this: either move them or just delete them.

Honestly, this would be a pretty clever way to sidestep the primaries. 😁

The real question is why someone with that kind of track record would even be facing a partial ban in the first place.

I mean, if you're going to troll without consequence, you might as well go all out, right?

brightcrane56 said:The real question here is how someone with such a track record could possibly land a partial payout.

If that is indeed the "real" question, then this entire thread has missed the mark entirely, as it fails to address the actual inquiry from the original post. Are we meant to just close this discussion so you can start a brand new one regarding the reasons behind your specific partial payment?

Well, since you're going to troll without any consequences, why not?

Actually, I’m not trolling at all. I’m just pointing out that what you've done would be a pretty slick way to bypass the partial credit rules on a specific PDF. You grab the credit, then immediately ask to have the thread you opened moved elsewhere.

William Bennett53 said:If we’re being honest, this thread has totally veered off course since it doesn't really address what was asked in the original post. Should we just lock this one down so you can start a fresh thread explaining the reasons behind your partial results?

Not at all, though I would definitely appreciate it if you could look out for me against the trolls who keep derailing the conversation, even if they happen to be fellow moderators.

And what am I supposed to do, only permit comments that happen to favor your position?
Matthew Anderson isn't even deviating from the subject; if anything, he’s highlighting just how nonsensical your request actually is. You’re asking to migrate threads where you contributed over to a sub-forum where you were awarded partial credit. But surely, the very fact that you received partial credit serves as proof of that contribution.

Matthew Anderson isn't actually dodging the point; if anything, he's highlighting how nonsensical your request really is. You’re basically asking us to move threads where you contributed over to a sub-forum where you earned your status—but the very fact that you earned that status there is proof of your contribution.

What does that tell you? What exactly has changed here? Huh?

Need a hint? It starts with an M.

Besides, don't you think there's something a bit hypocritical about banning a user but leaving behind such a massive trail of their old threads? If my posts are considered unwelcome in a specific section of the forum, then I honestly believe they should be scrubbed entirely—both the ones from the past and any new ones I might try to make.

I know it! It's brightcrane56! 👋 👋 👋

As far as I know, the forum isn't liable for what people post, though they still claim ownership over the content. 😉

As far as I’m aware, the forum doesn't take responsibility for what people post, though they do claim ownership over the content itself. 😉

And here's another one for the collection.

Seriously, give it a rest and stop embarrassing yourself.

The answer is still a firm NO. The threads are staying right where they are, specifically wherever our admin team decides is the most logical spot for them to live.
