Alright, I’ll drift off-topic for a second, but here goes nothing...
I hang out in this sub daily, and ever since Tony took over as moderator, the quality here has honestly doubled. It’s not even an exaggeration—the constant insults flying around threads used to be a regular thing, but now they've mostly stopped. Sometimes you just want to unwind, and other times you're actually trying to read up on real estate stuff. I can get why people veer off-topic sometimes, but I remember when you could scroll through pages of discussions that were just mindless noise and insults, maybe masquerading as "casual banter."
Sorry for the tangent, but I really felt like it was high time to give the mod some credit.
The guy is a total pain in the ass, though... seriously.
That’s why I’ve decided to just bail on this whole site (as long as they don't go and ban me permanently), especially since the platform itself has become incredibly boring lately...
If he represents the Midwest, then screw the Midwest. I just hope he isn't based in New York City..
