Ditch Adblock Plus and that element hiding helper. Zero adsβ€”I don't even see those side marketing boxes anymore. πŸ™‚

Is this what the new forum layout looks like? (And I'm not talking about the ads)

At this point, the whole thing is starting to get a little ridiculous. πŸ™„

Yahoo, finally some decent design updates!

I honestly don't get why everyone is pushing back; change is happening everywhere. Maybe we’ll actually end up with a more modern forum. πŸ™‚

so what kind of monitor are you running?
i'm stuck using a netbook and I'm definitely not loving it, though maybe rustymaker5 is rocking a 30-inch screen and thinks that's the standard, but really only fools settle for anything smaller than that...

Personally, I don't see this new design applied to this specific thread, though it seems to be active over on the Sports subforum

I run one at home (always, because I can't stand organic ads or any kind of banner), and it's fine. Honestly, I think the forum actually expanded a bit 😬
. At work, I deal with them, but I manage. It doesn't really bother me anymore. 😁

I'm stuck using a netbook, and frankly, I'm not exactly thrilled about it. Maybe analoggull4 is rocking a 30-inch screen and thinks everything looks fine, but let's be realβ€”only idiots settle for anything smaller.

On my laptop, using the Metropolitan Opera browser, I see about two-thirds of an Apple screen on each side, with the rest being just the forum.
I honestly think they’ll fix this so it scales for everyoneβ€”they really ought to, because nobody wants to pay for a site with broken, messy ads. Plus, looking at these tweaks to the buttons and borders, it feels like the web designer might actually try to modernize this prehistoric layout.

I just stumbled upon this thread! It’s perfect timing because I was actually about to start my own post. I’ve been struggling with a few layout issuesβ€”specifically, when I try to log in, the username and password fields show up with those weird double checkboxes. Plus, the forum width is totally off; I can only see about half a topic before I have to manually scroll horizontally to read the rest. It’s the exact same headache when I’m checking my private messages. And honestly, I don't even see any ads, but every time I click into a discussion, this massive blue bar just flashes on the screen.

Is there any way to fix this stuff?

The width of this forum is absolutely ridiculous!
I’m forced to shrink my font size just to fit the whole page on my screen without constant horizontal scrollingβ€”which is infuriating, because you either miss the author's name or you miss half the message.
And let's not pretend everyone here has 20/20 vision to deal with these tiny, pixelated letters. I spend half an hour browsing and I already have a headache.

Then there’s that glaring white background behind the thread links...πŸ™‚

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind the ads if everything was actually "normal sized"! We aren't all tech geeks sitting in front of 100-inch monitors. Can we please fix this forum for regular people?

(By the way, I'm on a 2017 MacBook and using Firefox).

I'm running into the exact same thing, everything looks just like yours
does anyone know if there's a workaround for this?
it really feels like that old saying is trueβ€”just because something is new doesn't mean it's actually an improvement.

This is a total disasterπŸ™‚πŸ˜

I'm stuck constantly scrolling left and right just to read a single sentence! I'm really hoping someone realizes they need to fix this layout soon, because honestly, it's giving me a massive headache.

Signed.
Seriously, can we get some actual work done here? Is anyone even reading this? πŸ™‚
It is incredibly frustrating having to constantly scroll horizontally across the page!
The width settings are just completely nonsensical.

They can take their baggage and shove it; they’re just pushing their own agenda and obsessing over flashy commercials.

Oh, it's just great, seriously!

It's honestly such a blast navigating this forum, you know? You start by quoting a post, then you have to scroll right, then maybe back left to see who actually wrote it, then start a new post, go right again, back left... I guess you just keep doing that forever until you hit the bottom of the page. πŸ™‚

Man, I come to the forum to relax, not to get frustrated jumping back and forth like a monkey. Is this some new design direction or something? Instead of just going straight through an intersection, we're all supposed to zig-zag left and right instead. 🀦

I mean, I think the idea is pretty much a joke, honestly. πŸ™‚

Noted πŸ™‚

There are still some white strips showing up in certain areasβ€”kind of like seeing a seam in a poorly tailored suit when you're checking out someone's profile or managing a subscription. If that visual clutter bothers you (it doesn't bother me since I rarely touch those settings), just speak up and I'll see if I can smooth it over.
