Forum's lagging again...

It’s been acting up since yesterday, though I can't say for sure if it's just me, since everything else on my end—including other similar boards—is running perfectly fine.
Any idea what the deal is, or is everyone else hitting the same wall?

I couldn't get in at all last night, and it keeps glitching out today too.

Honestly, I've been dealing with this all day long—and get this—I actually have the fastest internet in the entire country! 🤷

It's not just the 408 error giving me grief

Plus, I couldn't even get online last night because of those 503 and 504 errors

So, here’s my workflow: I’ll pop open three different tabs, right? And while one thread is still struggling to load, I’ll jump over to the second tab to click on another topic, and then immediately hop to the third one... just keeping the momentum going. Then, once I finally start reading that very first thread, the other two might actually finish loading in the background, and then I’m back to square one, clicking again. It’s this endless loop of waiting.

I honestly have no clue why everything feels so sluggish lately... 🙂

Seriously, it took me more than three minutes just to get this thread to load, and then I had to sit there for another full minute before I could even type a single word.
Yesterday was actually even worse... honestly, it's enough to drive anyone absolutely insane! I mean, what am I even supposed to say, how do you even begin to describe this kind of luck... and who is there to even complain to? 😁

Look, when I’m sitting at my desk on my PC, things aren't even that bad. But the second I try to check anything on my phone? It’s an absolute train wreck. My inbox takes like five minutes just to load. 🙂

It honestly feels like some people are completely tech-illiterate and just don't know how to navigate these digital hurdles. 😁

There is really no point in letting the page spin indefinitely; if it starts lagging, it’s likely stuck in a loop and will never actually finish loading. My suggestion is to wait for the loading icon to appear, give it about two seconds, and then manually hit the stop button—that little 'x' in the browser. If you wait just a few more moments after stopping the process, the page content should pop right up, and you can just let it sit there. 😁 I’ve tested this repeatedly using Microsoft Edge, and it works like a charm every single time.

Using the Tapatalk app, however, makes the whole experience seamless...

I honestly think this forum is a fantastic tool for building some much-needed character. Back in the old days—think prehistoric times when a husband would head out from his cave to hunt wild game—a wife might wait days, or even forever, praying he’d make it back without being eaten by a predator. In that context, having everything handed to you on a silver platter at a local grocery store feels a bit hollow, doesn't it?
We've become so incredibly impatient lately. Everyone is constantly rushing, our nerves are frayed, and we all seem to have such short fuses. That’s why I don't see anything wrong with a page taking about five minutes to load here. It actually gives a person a moment to pause and reflect on their life, their purpose, and even the ultimate fate of humanity. It provides that brief window to step away from the chaos of the world; if it takes an hour just to load ten pages, that’s an hour spent contemplating the deeper, spiritual aspects of existence.
So, I’m actually quite grateful for this forum. I truly hope it stays consistent and continues to help strengthen the resolve of the average user—someone who feels like they’re constantly racing toward some goal, even though we all know there's really only one final destination waiting for us.

I actually ran into a nearly identical issue myself—just endless loading screens or having to force the window closed just to get it to respond. Turns out, tweaking my Adblock settings (or even just doing a clean reinstall) fixed everything for me! It seems to be a lifesaver for a few other folks out there, too.
That’s aside from Saturday night, though, when the whole forum was basically a total disaster zone...

Anyway, if you haven't tried messing with your adblocker yet, it might be worth a shot!

It messes with my head quite often, but honestly, you just have to sit tight and wait for him to sober up from whatever high he’s on right now.

People on here are constantly coming at him with all sorts of nonsense, and honestly, it’s a lot for anyone to stomach... 🤣

I just hope the damn thing doesn't kick the bucket again.. 🙂

Seriously, installing AdBlock Plus on Google Chrome made this forum run about five hundred times faster—if that’s even possible. 🙏
