I mean, seriously, it’s literally everywhere... ugh... just try using Google for once? I found it in like two minutes flat =S

It really is quite baffling when someone takes the time to go through the entire registration process for a forum, only to seemingly ignore the existence of the search function.

Hate to dig this up from the grave, but does anyone here actually know their way around GIMP? I need a hand. I managed to paint this tree I want to move around, duplicate a few times, and turn into a forest. The issue is this white outline around the tree. If I try to use Layer-Transparency-Color to Alpha, the white pixels vanish, sure, but then all the colored parts start turning transparent too. Is there a way to ditch the white bits while keeping the actual colors of the tree solid instead of semi-transparent? Maybe some kind of setting that snaps the selection right to the edge of the color pixels or something...

Anyone got a fix?

Not sure if this would even help you, but I usually handle those transparency issues using Pixlr's online editor when I need to deal with .png backgrounds
