GPU temps?

I am starting to suspect that my graphics card is running uncomfortably hot with this particular setup; what would you consider a standard operating temperature for such a component?

Which software do you all typically employ to monitor system vitals? I have just finished installing CPU-Z, so here is what the readings are currently showing.

Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo E7200 2.53 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX Series, 512MB DDR3
RAM 2x1 GB, DDR2, 800 MHz

The real issue is if those are the GPU temps while you're just idling. If that's happening mid-game, then it's probably fine. Are you actually getting crashes or anything?

I was having a bit of an issue getting my Windows XP setup up and running—specifically regarding the monitor—but things seem to have stabilized somewhat. Once you actually get them powered up, they tend to function without much fuss.

I decided to give the PC case a quick dusting with a vacuum today, and I noticed the graphics card felt quite warm to the touch, even though the computer had only been idling for about half an hour. Is that normal? I’m wondering if my current setup, which relies solely on a single side fan, simply isn't providing enough airflow to keep things cool.
