Hey everyone, I’ve been lurking here for a while now, just absorbing everything, but I think I finally hit my limit—I need to vent a little bit.. 😢
So, here’s the situation: we’ve been trying to conceive since the winter. At first, it was more of a casual thing, you know? Just seeing where it goes. But over the last few months, things have become very serious.
My last period ended around May 26th, and after checking >, it looked like my ovulation window kicked off around June 4th. I even used those ovulation strips on June 6th—the ones that show 🙂—and everything seemed perfectly on track. Then, a few days later, my breasts started feeling tender... about a week after ovulation, I noticed this crazy increase in cervical mucus (though I kept telling myself, "No, stay grounded, it's way too early for any of this to mean anything"). Lately, though, my stomach has been acting up. I eventually cracked under the pressure and took a test yesterday, which came back negative, but then—and this is where it gets weird—I noticed some faint pink spotting on my underwear. Now I’m just completely lost, 🤷 I don't even know what to make of it.. 😕 Does anyone have any advice or ideas on what might be happening?

So, I wanted to pick your brains on something
Lately, I’ve just been feeling totally off... super dizzy, constantly exhausted, no appetite, just blah...
A close friend actually asked if I might be pregnant
The thing is, my period has been totally regular, though I know plenty of women who had regular cycles until their fourth month before finding out they were expecting
How common is that, really?
Should I go grab a test just to be sure, or am I just overthinking things and panicking for nothing
And yeah, if I am, I’d be about two months along
Thanks guys

🙂 I’m right there with you—though, honestly, I’m not ready to bank on it just yet. Not until we see some actual, tangible results land on the table...😵

Or maybe it’s just not happening. :-) You'll find out in a few days. If it shows up, you'll know exactly where you stand, but if it doesn't... well, then you know. If your period doesn't arrive or if it's late, just go ahead and take a test so you aren't sitting there stressing yourself out for nothing! And honestly, that spotting? It might just be implantation bleeding.👍

It’s possible. There are definitely women who still get their periods up through the fourth month of pregnancy. Just go pick up a test—you can find a cheap one at CVS for like ten bucks, and they work fine. Use your first urine in the morning and you'll have your answer.
Get a test tomorrow and stop guessing. If it’s not that, you probably just caught some bug; look at how nasty the weather has been lately. 😁

Just try to breathe. Things happen when they're meant to happen. You really need to just relax. Don't make it this big, scheduled mission where you're constantly "trying" to conceive; just let go and enjoy life, and it'll happen. You have to accept whatever comes your way. It’s much easier to conceive when you aren't living under constant stress.

Wishing you guys luck and hoping you get that little one soon.

Thanks.🙂 I was under the impression that implantation bleeding typically shows up around the seven to ten-day mark after ovulation—but then again, maybe my internal timeline is just completely off. Perhaps I’m mistaken?

Thanks, Lindsey—I know, I know, I really need to just take a breath and relax, and that everything will eventually settle down. That’s been the pattern up until now, hasn't it? But I have to admit, these bizarre shifts lately... they’re stirring up a certain restlessness in me. It’s hard not to care when you've spent so long seeing things run smoothly—everything seemed so predictable, so stable—but these last two months have just been this strange, senseless chaos. I honestly can't make heads or tails of it.

I honestly don't believe I’m going to make it through this crisis—if we're even willing to call it that. It feels like one of those endless stretches of bad weather where you just stop looking at the forecast and start bracing for impact. 😉And honestly... will we ever actually get back to some kind of "normal"? It’s a question that keeps circling my mind—this idea that there’s a baseline we once occupied, waiting for us just around the corner once the dust finally settles. But I find myself wondering if that version of reality even exists anymore, or if we're all just chasing the ghost of a stability that slipped through our fingers a long time ago.
Thanks for the advice. 😘

People claim implantation bleeding happens right when you're expecting your period, so you might mistake it for your actual flow, but let me tell you, it's definitely not 😉

Yeah, look, testing makes sense if you’re already running a day or two behind schedule, but if not, just hang tight for now. When are you actually supposed to get it?

It’s supposed to arrive on the 24th—though, if I’m being honest, I have this nagging sensation it’s already here—and my back is absolutely killing me. It’s been like this for the last few days... just a constant, dull ache. Everything feels a bit off, a little surreal, I suppose. I really wish I could just stop overthinking it all and move on, but it’s hard when you can't quite shake that unsettled feeling. 😢

Google mini is the name of that cheaper one—it works fine. Just make sure to use the first thing you do in the morning.

It’ll run you about $11.

Let me offer some comfort (or maybe just more disappointment), but mine was three days late this month. My back was aching, my chest was incredibly sore—like, crazy swollen—plus the dizziness and the jitters. I actually went out and bought a test just so I could take it in the morning (I mean, I'm not even trying to get pregnant, but if luck strikes... who knows?), only to end up getting my period that very evening instead.

I've got extra tests left over 🤣...

The symptoms you described happen to me almost every single month. My back aches right before my period starts, and don't even get me started on my breasts swelling up. When I was actually pregnant, I kept feeling like it was just my period coming, but it wasn't. All that stuff is just hearsay at this point. The only real, reliable sign is a pregnancy test. Once you have that, you know.👍

Haha, yeah... thanks for the comfort, really.🙂
I mean, I get it—things can swing in any direction, I suppose—but it’s hard when your heart is pulling a bit harder than reality is willing to cooperate. Of course, I’d love for everything to play out exactly how I’ve pictured it, even if the odds aren't exactly stacked in my favor...
My junk drawer is basically just a graveyard of testing kits at this point... 😁 between the ovulation ones and the pregnancy tests 😵

What happens when you’re stuck with a negative vibe—or perhaps more accurately, a negative person—and your gut is screaming at you that things should actually be looking up? It's a strange sort of friction, isn't it? Like being caught in a sudden downpour when the weather report promised nothing but sunshine—you’re left standing there, squinting at the clouds, wondering where the disconnect happened. You have this internal compass pointing toward optimism, yet the reality right in front of you is stubbornly, almost aggressively, pessimistic. It’s exhausting, really—trying to reconcile that intuitive sense of potential with a situation that just feels fundamentally broken. 🤔

Hold on a second... it’s totally possible to get a negative result right now since I just read that you shouldn't even test until the 24th. For me, mine didn't turn positive until a few days after my period was due. On the actual day it was supposed to start, the line was so faint I practically needed a microscope to see it. Just wait until the morning of the 24th. Use your first urine of the day and it should show up. My implantation happened a little later, so it took a couple extra days after my missed period for the test to finally hit positive.☕
