Sure, it falls the day before All Saints'... but I still find the whole thing repulsive. I still think those days should be dedicated to remembering those we've lost. You know, showing them at least some respect. If you don't believe in God and you don't listen to priests, then maybe don't go arguing against them—at least not here. Everyone has their own stance. If I listen to priests and believe in God, that's my business. Just like it's your business to dress up for that stupid Halloween as some witch or vampire. It's entirely up to you. All I'm saying is that it's completely pointless, and if someone has a decent social life, they don't need Halloween to find a different way to have fun, like you suggested. Honestly, I don't care about any of you. Go ahead and enjoy yourselves and make fools of yourselves all over town. I really couldn't care less.

It’s not even that I don't believe in God, it's that I don't trust priests. But whatever, that's not even the point right now.

I don't really do the whole Halloween thing. I mostly just see people getting worked up about it on my way to and from work. But whatever, it's not worth the argument. Honestly, just tell me—what were you even doing back before Halloween became this massive, overhyped thing? What did you do on that day back then? I guess everyone has their own way of handling things. You think I'm a fool, I think you're one too. So, we're even, I suppose.

Back when Halloween wasn't some massive craze in the States and most of us barely knew what it even was, I didn't do anything special. Just spent the day like any other boring day, but once people started getting hyped about it, that regular old day turned into something way bigger than just your average Tuesday 😉Whatever, man, at least it's not just some mindless, repetitive day like it used to be.. yeah right.

And please, do yourself a favor and actually read the posts; it clearly hasn't clicked in your head yet that we don't celebrate Halloween as some sort of religious holiday—we aren't honoring any specific saint, or the spirit of America, or the dead rising from their graves, or whatever else you might imagine—instead, we simply treat it as a fun excuse to step out and be someone different for a night. Besides, I really don't follow your logic regarding what we did BEFORE Halloween. I mean, if we weren't born during the actual existence of a holiday, wouldn't it be pretty silly of us to celebrate it? Halloween is about having fun and messing around, which is exactly what the smart people on here are saying. It has zero to do with believing in God, and all this preaching from priests is just pure stupidity. I don't have to be an atheist to dress up for Halloween, scare my roommates, and go out to cause some trouble with my friends. Last year, I pulled off a legendary prank for Halloween—everyone at my place was terrified, and I'll never forget it... but you cowards act like it's some massive sin... then again, for those religious zealots, even breathing is practically a sin🙄

The one argument I keep hearing over and over is, "Oh, we celebrate it because it isn't just any other day." Give me a break. Every single night out with my friends—whether it's a party or just hanging out—feels special to us. Maybe you guys just don't have the guts to show up at a club on a random Tuesday dressed like it's the 80s and call *that* a special occasion.
