Hey there,
I’m looking to pick up a new laptop—budget capped at $2333. I’m not a hardcore gamer by any means, just some casual sessions here and there, but I’d really like to be able to run things like Grand Theft Auto V or Battlefield 1 without everything turning into a slideshow. I also need it to run Linux, which leads me to my dilemma. I was originally eyeing the Dell Inspiron, but I’ve heard whispers about some compatibility headaches with Linux on that specific model, and frankly, I don't have the patience to gamble on hardware issues.
Right now, I'm torn between these two options:
1.HP Pavilion with an Intel Core i5 7300HQ 2.50GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB storage, running Linux 17.3 on a Full HD screen, equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1050Ti 4GB (P/N: NX.GPGEX.015)
2.HP Victus featuring an Intel Core i5 7300HQ 2.50GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA + 128GB SSD combo, running Linux 15.6 on a Full HD IPS screen, with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1050Ti 4GB (P/N: Q2QEX.004)
