Hey everyone, I’m checking in at 33 because I am losing my mind right now. Back in February, I had some work done on my lower left molar, and ever since then, things have gone completely sideways. To give you the backstory, I had a nasty accident when I was a kid—fell off my bike, slammed my head onto the pavement, and cracked my front teeth. It’s been 22 years since that wreck, and my dentist finally confirmed those teeth are dead, so I’ve got five of them headed for root canals. But here’s the kicker: ever since they touched that molar, my body has been acting like a total horror movie. A periodontal pocket popped up there (over 3mm deep), and the dentists are insisting I need deep cleaning and all that. But since then, I’ve been dealing with this intense heat radiating through my forehead, and I get these random, searing pains in my chest that literally take my breath away. I actually went and got a CT scan and an echocardiogram just to be safe, and honestly, my heart looks perfect. I’m freaking out. I told my dentists everything, and we’re scheduled for a CBCT and some X-rays this week because my current scans show some pretty heavy fillings. Oh, and apparently, I need to get my wisdom tooth pulled too... My young female dentist is trying to tell me this is all just stress—and yeah, my job is high-pressure, but this is straight-up ridiculous. This whole situation is terrifying.

Could stress actually be causing my teeth to just... die?
