How do I delete a post?

You can actually scrap this post within 90 minutes of hitting publish—just hit that edit button sitting down in the bottom right corner next to the Quote button. Some of those PDF guidelines might show a shorter window, though... if you miss that 90-minute mark, your best bet is just sending a quick PM to the subforum moderator. Just keep it brief and actually make sense if you want them to help you out...

Regarding the bolded part... if you don't mind me asking, which specific rulebooks have those shorter deadlines? I've just gotten so used to having the full 90 minutes that I'm worried I'll accidentally blow past the limit on one of those and mess up my edits.🙂

I didn't realize it was that short, but honestly, it makes sense looking at those PDFs where the post volume is all over the place 🙂

I mean, if you ask me, the 90-minute limit pretty much applies to everyone on this entire forum.

Not trying to clutter things up with a new thread here... but quick question: can I actually delete a post entirely during that edit window (the 90-minute thing), or does the system cut you off sooner if you try to wipe it?

If you have the ability to edit, you've got the ability to delete. It’s been a full 90 minutes.

I've noticed that on certain PDFs, you can edit a post, but the option to delete just isn't there. Even if only a few minutes have passed since posting 🤔

Keep in mind that individual subforums might have their own specific rules regarding editing or deleting posts—they don't always play by the same playbook. But generally speaking, on most boards, you've got a 90-minute window from the moment you hit "post" to either fix a typo or just wipe the whole thing out.

It says right on the homepage, man—there’s at least one moderator assigned to every single subforum here.
