So, any updates regarding the iPhone?? I'm currently hunting for some new gear, and the main thing I'm weighing is the difference between $667 the iPhone and Instagram.

Still total garbage... better look somewhere else, maybe Germany, France, or the UK... just stay away from Canada.

How much of a difference does it actually make compared to what we have here if it isn't Instagram?

Look, I’m not saying you can just swap out any corner store in America and expect the same thing—it’s not a one-to-one comparison. But man, the gaps between them are massive. If you're looking for a specific recommendation, which shop would you actually vouch for?

I was just browsing some tech sites online and ended up falling down an iPhone rabbit hole. Honestly, I’ve never really been one for their stuff.
I was thinking about just picking out all the components myself and building the whole rig—you know, a custom PC from scratch, top to bottom.

The only thing I’d actually consider buying is an Intel CPU inside an iPhone, and honestly, nothing else.
And even then, the price tag would probably be the same here in the States.

G Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 16GB
WD 500GB Blue SSD

Total value is way over $3333, but since the prices were suspiciously low compared to everywhere else... let's see if this actually works out...

Every product comes with a manufacturer’s warranty valid at an authorized service center, but my actual concern is whether items bought directly from them can be serviced here locally. If they can, then fine, no issue. If not, then the whole thing is just a massive headache and a complete waste of time and sanity.

Just call an authorized service center for one of the brands you ordered and ask them directly. Honestly, it probably just comes down to the specific shop and whatever contract they have with the manufacturer. There aren't any federal laws covering this. I wouldn't bet on everyone accepting it.

I don't even feel like calling them. I’m not going to stress myself out over a few extra bucks. I’d much rather buy locally and leave some money in the pockets of people right here in the States—whatever you want to call them. If I need something specific that isn't available domestically, then maybe I'll order from overseas, but that's the exception, not the rule.
Local workers need to eat, feed their kids, and make a living. Besides, prices for gear here are pretty fair anyway. At least I know I have an authorized service center nearby that will actually handle my warranty claim. I'm not interested in mailing a broken product somewhere else and wasting my time just to save a handful of dollars. No thanks.

I end up spending those extra couple hundred bucks on coffee and cigarettes anyway, so what's the difference?🙂
