Appreciate it.
Honestly, we’ve been running ourselves ragged dealing with various hematology-oncology issues with our second kid over the last couple of years, so maybe we’re just getting a little desensitized to all this stuff.
I’m betting things will settle down by flu season, but we’ll probably go back and get it retested once they're feeling better, just so we can finally get some peace of mind.

Over the last few years, we have found ourselves stepping back from our usual activities to focus entirely on our second child. Navigating the complex corridors of a hematology-oncology department can often feel like attempting to traverse an intricate labyrinth without a map, where every turn reveals a new layer of medical terminology and clinical nuance. It is a specialized realm of medicine that focuses on the study and treatment of blood disorders and various cancers of the blood, bone marrow, and lymph nodes. Much like a master clockmaker examining the most delicate gears of a timepiece to ensure every movement is synchronized, these specialists work tirelessly to diagnose and manage conditions that affect our very lifeblood. Whether one is dealing with the complexities of anemia, the intricacies of clotting disorders, or more serious oncological challenges like leukemia or lymphoma, the expertise found within this field is both profound and essential for modern healthcare. It is entirely possible that there are other underlying factors at play here, which might explain why we have perhaps become a bit too complacent.
I am of the firm belief that we should probably hold off until the flu season passes, though we shall certainly revisit this matter once they have fully recovered, if only to ensure our own peace of mind.

The points highlighted in bold are quite significant, and if we are dealing with something more serious, it truly requires careful and thorough monitoring. Viral infections aren't exactly something to be taken lightly; they can carry much more weight than one might initially assume.

Hello.
Can someone help me interpret my results? I had these labs done to monitor my diabetes.
I am posting an image showing only the values that have decreased.

Three months ago, my eosinophils, basophils, and monocytes were slightly elevated. At the time, the diagnosis was that I was just finishing up a viral infection.

Thanks.

Could someone please provide a test interpretation for me? These results were taken specifically to monitor my diabetes.
I am attaching a photo showing only the values that came back elevated.

Three months ago, there was a slight elevation in just the eosinophils, basophils, and monocytes, which at the time was attributed to a viral infection winding down.

Thank you.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...82aad7c8f9.jpg

Please take a photo of the entire report. I have a nagging suspicion that this isn't merely a routine diabetes checkup.

The only symptoms to surface over the last few days have been tingling in my legs and general fatigue, though we've chalked that up to my recent workout routine.
There aren't any other indications of illness, nor have there been any recent issues.

We are taking the lab results to the doctor on Tuesday, but I really needed this information just to put my mind at ease. Thank you.

I noticed some people on here have already been asking about spine issues, so I figured I’d jump in too, especially since I just picked up my imaging results from last week.
The doctors scanned my cervical spine because of these dizzy spells and pain, plus some issues with my lower back—apparently, an older report mentioned early osteoarthritis.

I’m transcribing this manually, so please bear with me if there are typos since I'm definitely not a medical pro:
"Vertebral structure appears normal.
There is insufficient compensatory scoliosis with a kyphotic reshaping of the physiological sagittal curve, with the maximum point at the C5 level.
C1 shows normal positioning.
Discopathy at C4/C5 and C5/6.
The dorsal intercorporeal line is intact.
L5 shows normal lordosis.
Discopathy at L5/S1.
Early osteoarthritis of the facet joints caudal to L4."

Can anyone actually make sense of what all this jargon means?
And who should I even be seeing next to try and get ahead of this arthritis—you know, to slow it down or stop it from getting worse and causing more pain?

Thanks.

So, here’s the actual test result I managed to get my hands on.
My CRP is at 2.7.
When do you think is actually the best time to run these tests again?

Hey there.
I’d be seriously grateful if someone could take a look at these lab results for me.
The kid is 12 years old.

(K) Monocytes 0.3 G/L 0.22-1.51
(K) Eosinophil granulocytes 0.2 G/L 0-1.04
(K) Basophil granulocytes 0.0 G/L 0-0.23
(K) Neutrophil granulocytes (%) 17 L % 50 - 75
(K) Lymphocytes (%) 70 H % 19 - 52

Good evening, everyone. I’m reaching out because, honestly, I’m at a bit of a loss for what to do next...
My lab results came back like this:

rheumatoid factor 13 IU/ml ( anti-ccp 2.7 U/ml ( fibrinogen 3.3 g/L (1.8-3.5)
Vitamin D 11.2 (
My primary care doctor says everything looks mostly fine. Should I keep digging? To be blunt, she isn't the best physician; she’s misdiagnosed me almost every single time. I already have Hashimoto's (my hormone levels stay steady, but my antibodies are elevated), and these joint and muscle pains—they've been getting worse for years. Now, they've reached a point where I can't even work every day, let alone a full shift.
I'm 44.
I would truly appreciate any ideas you might have.

Can anyone help me make sense of these urology results?
DRE😛The rectal exam shows irregular resistance all around the circumference upon digital palpation, with contact bleeding.
The prostate itself isn't clearly palpable.
PSA 5.92 high
Diagnosis: suspected rectal neoplasm.

I’ve done some digging, and it looks like they're suspecting a tumor... but that first sentence is still a bit fuzzy to me.

PSA 5.92 ng/mL
Diagnosis: suspicious for rectal neoplasm.

From what I can gather, they suspect a tumor, but that very first sentence isn't quite hitting home for me.

This is essentially a literal description of what was felt during the examination. It means there is some kind of mass (or perhaps several) being felt, and because there is active bleeding, the suspicion of a rectal tumor is high—though at this stage, it remains unclear whether the issue originates within the intestinal wall itself or if something external is pressing against the bowel. In short, this requires urgent follow-up and further testing immediately.

I need some help here, please.
I'm 27 years old. I had my CBC done on February 17th.

Result Unit Ref range
Leukocytes 5.0 x10^9/L 3.4-9.7

Neutrophil
granulocytes 51.7 rel% 44-72

Neutrophil
granulocytes 2.60 x10^9/L 2.06-6.49

CRP 0.6 mg/L <5.0

So, basically: everything looks fine (everything else was also within range).

I went back to a different clinic for blood work on March 4th—so, 15 days later:

Result Unit Ref range
Leukocytes 3.3L G/L 3.4-9.7

Neutrophil
granulocytes 1.5L G/L 2.0-7.5

Neutrophil
granulocytes
% 47 L % 50-75

As for symptoms? I've got a whole laundry list, but I have no clue what might be linked to these numbers.
I deal with frequent loose stools (I recently tested positive for Norovirus in my stool).
Could these lab results be related to that?
I'm feeling slightly lethargic and occasionally run a low fever of 98.6°F. In the last 15 days, I've caught that fever twice, and the whole time I've been under intense stress.
Please, help me out. What do you all think?

Feeling slightly sluggish and sometimes running a temperature of 98.6°F—hit it twice in the last 15 days—and I've been under massive stress the whole time.
Please help, what do you guys think?

I'm no expert, but those don't look like major deviations to me. Loose stools could just be IBS (you mentioned being stressed, and that's usually the biggest trigger). That fever isn't even high, and if I remember correctly, temps tend to run a bit higher during the second half of your cycle (post-ovulation until your period starts), so keep that in mind.

Mushy stools can just be a symptom of Irritable Bowel Syndrome—and you mentioned being stressed, which is the biggest trigger there is. Your temperature isn't significantly high either; if I'm reading you right, you might be in the second half of your menstrual cycle (from ovulation to the start of bleeding), where temps naturally run a bit higher, so keep that in mind.

Thanks so much for the reply! 😊 I’ll definitely be checking in with my primary care physician. What’s also got me spiraling is this weird "vibration" in my legs that started up about a month ago (who knows if it's stress or something else). It feels like some kind of current running through my feet and slightly up my legs. It is an absolutely terrifying sensation because it feels so unnatural. When it first happened, I actually thought my phone was vibrating somewhere underneath me! I can even feel it when I touch the surface of my skin. My family already thinks I'm losing my mind over this, but I am genuinely worried. Could this be linked to the stool issues, the fever, and my blood work? I already deal with Restless Leg Syndrome, which I've grown used to—the cramps, the tingling, all that—but this is something entirely new and different. Is it possible my syndrome is getting worse? 🙂Has anyone else dealt with anything similar? And does anyone know if it's possible to hit 98.6°F just from stress? It feels like my temperature spikes during a stress attack, and then two hours later, it just drops back down on its own. Thanks in advance!
despairer 🙏
