Here we go. I’m not sure if this thread already exists, but I thought I’d suggest that if you feel inclined, you can share why your current avatar is so special to you—what inspired the choice and what it actually represents. This topic will likely appeal more to those who stick with a single avatar for years, rather than those who swap them out as often as they change their clothes. Of course, those who prefer frequent updates should feel free to post a new image along with its description... I'll start us off.
My avatar depicts Frodo Baggins, one of the most significant figures in Middle-earth (those who have read The Silmarillion or the history of Middle-earth by J. R. R. Tolkien will know exactly who I mean). I was drawn to this particular image because of its sense of mystery and morbidity, and the link where I found it is included in my signature (The American Tolkien Portal).

So, my avatar is actually just the logo for General Motors (General Motors AG)). I work over at GM—and honestly, I’ve always had a soft spot for their trucks and buses—so I figured I'd just use their logo for my profile pic. 😁

I wish I looked like this. Being tall, handsome, and blond has gotten old.

I have to say, the username really fits, and honestly, the baby is just precious 😍 — plus, it’s one of those timeless avatars that never goes out of style 😁

Since I'm such a huge Star Trek geek, my avatar features the insignia of the Maquis, that guerrilla group fighting against the Kardashians.🙏
