Hey everyone,

So, I haven't really hung out in this group before, but I figured you all might be able to help me out with some questions.
Basically, I just had liposuction done on my thighs and knees a few days ago, and I was wondering if anyone here has gone through it? I'm curious about what the recovery process was actually like, how the results turned out... honestly, just tell me whatever you know about it.

😉

And how about you? How are your results looking and how's the recovery going?🤷

Heh, well, it’s been six days now, I guess. To be honest, I haven't really looked at myself yet—it’s just now sinking in what I actually did to myself, which feels a little unsettling, maybe.😲 My guy has been helping me get these wraps off, and I’ve got this dull, aching pain whenever I’m sitting or lying down, though it seems fine when I’m walking around. I can see through the compression wrap that there's some bruising near my hip, and he says there are just a few little blue spots elsewhere, so it's probably nothing major, but my legs feel a bit swollen...

What even is this? I haven't heard of it before... how much does it run you?

Apparently, this is the method everyone’s obsessed with lately because they claim it’s permanent. The idea is that once they suction out the fat, they flush everything with saline solution... probably costs somewhere around $1,500

So, are you actually out here trying to be thick, or what?

No! I'm about 5'6" and 132 lbs (in the winter). I guess I just inherited all the bad genetic traits, and then, well, my diet definitely didn't help matters. My upper and lower halves look like they belong to two completely different people—total pear shape, with a massive backside and skinny legs. And the cellulite... honestly, if I had any more, it might just start leaking out of me.🤣

So, I guess we really are headed back under the knife after all... and here I was, actually feeling a bit optimistic thinking they’d come up with some groundbreaking new method. Heh.

Alright, I really hope you get back on your feet soon.
And hopefully, you can get back to rocking those summer shorts and breezy little outfits as fast as possible.🙂

And here I was, thinking you guys were actually going to give me the full rundown on what's coming next and how this whole thing is supposed to play out...
As for those shorts—believe it or not—the last time I really wore them was back in high school. Every single thing I own fits me like a tent now, haha. I guess I’m just really hoping there’s at least a grain of truth behind everything they promised.

I just inherited all the worst genes possible, and honestly, my diet didn't help matters either.

🙏 Yeah, me too!

Keep us posted on how it goes... I’m definitely carrying some extra weight myself, but my legs are a total disaster zone 🙂

The big questions for me are:

1. Are there gonna be scars where they put the probe in?

And
2. Does the skin actually look tight afterward, or does it just sag?😲😲

🙂🙏🙏

gentlesailor13,

I’m actually quite curious about how your recovery is going and what kind of results you’re seeing. I find myself getting caught up in these thoughts all the time, though it usually just stays at the level of daydreaming, I suppose. At one point, I even managed to get my husband to promise me he'd pay for liposuction once we had our second child. He gave me his word back then, but now that I bring it up again, he just tells me I'm being crazy. My main issue is this stubborn thigh cellulite—the kind that makes my pants fit poorly—which I've dealt with forever, even when I was much thinner. I read somewhere that liposuction, or maybe it's called hydroliposuction now, might be the exact solution for something like that.

Sean Gonzalez95, honey, what on earth would you be doing beating me up for that much cash while I’m still waiting for this fat to melt away??😁
Hey girls, just had to check in...
So, I took a good look in the mirror today. My ankles are definitely less swollen, though I've got some bruising on my right leg—nothing major, though. I actually started applying some bruise cream and using compresses on myself. You guys aren't going to believe this, but the cellulite is gone. I honestly didn't expect that; I figured with such a large area, even liposuction wouldn't make that much of a difference. Aside from the bruises and the swelling, my legs actually look kind of nice now. The puncture site is... well, maybe a slightly larger dot than what you get after a routine blood draw at CVS. I guess that's why everyone says this is the most effective way to do it.
Megan Patel47... mine promised me two years ago. It was all "of course, darling, let's do it," blah blah blah... then I went ahead and saved up the money myself, called the doctor, went in for the consultation, and basically forced his hand. He didn't fight me too hard, probably because he knows it's becoming a real health issue; my legs had gotten so huge they looked like they were covered in oranges.🤣

I’d totally fix your diet up for you... I’d figure out exactly which foods mess with your system and which ones don't... we're talking strict low carb, cranking up the protein, hitting morning cardio, and crushing some HIIT at the gym... then you just watch the results roll in...
Honestly, it feels kinda stupid even talking about it because even those pro bodybuilders you see on TV completely blow their prep right before a show and end up having to go to a clinic to fix their weight...
But this way is way easier, and man, I would never, ever drop cash on something like that... 🤷

:

Yeah, just try spending all day grinding it out at the gym after an eight-hour shift with two toddlers waiting for you at home and tell me how that goes.

PS. I work out whenever I can find a second, I'm about 110 lbs at 5'5" but this is just my build—no matter how hard I push, I can't grow leg muscle and the cellulite stays no matter what.

Sean Gonzalez95 said:Ten grand a month... man, spare me.😲😲You should've just handed me the cash—I would've had you straightened out in no time.

I’ve been hitting the gym every single day for a year and a half—really drilling the lower body—and I even overhauled my entire diet, but the cellulite is still there. Just won't budge.
I'm just not gonna go all-out on some hardcore fitness grind—it’s just not worth the hassle in my life. Honestly, being healthy, staying in shape, and not looking like I haven't seen sunlight in years is more than enough for me. 😁
I've got nothing against liposuction—if it actually does the job when it comes to those stubborn fat pockets or that damn cellulite that just won't budge. 👍

Look, if you’re built like an hourglass, trying to overhaul your lifestyle can be a total wash—you end up looking skinny up top while still carrying all that extra weight around your midsection, no matter how much you hit the gym. That’s why liposuction actually makes sense in those specific spots. Obviously, it’s idiotic for someone carrying an extra 65 pounds to jump straight to lipo—that's just plain reckless. But for certain people? I'm all for it. 👍

Sean Gonzalez95 said:Honestly, it’s almost pointless to even argue about this—it's just dumb. You see it all the time with pro bodybuilders right before they hit the stage; their prep goes totally sideways and they can't drop the weight, so what do they do? They end up heading straight to a clinic to have a doctor fix their physique for them.
Look, this might be the easy way out, but honestly? I’d never drop a dime on something like that.🤷

😁
See? This is exactly what I'm talking about. 🙂
Ever since I started bingeing those home makeover shows—you know, the ones where they turn a dump into a mansion—I can't help but wonder about the people on screen. Like, when you see these Hollywood types looking absolutely flawless in their 50s or 60s, how much of that is actually just good genes and a clean diet? And how much of it is just a really talented surgeon with a scalpel? It's hard to tell where the healthy lifestyle ends and the plastic surgery begins. ☕

I’ve got this friend who absolutely crushes it at the gym—like, seriously, her physique is incredible. Rock solid. But she was venting to me about cellulite—not a ton, but enough that it bothered her. She’s convinced that no matter how hard she trains or how ripped she gets, she just can't shake it. 🤷

I guess it feels kind of silly to say anything, though, because even some bodybuilders can't nail their prep before a competition and end up having to go to a doctor to handle the extra weight..
but this way is easier, and I guess I’d never spend money on something like that🤷

Yeah, all that stuff works if you just want to drop 5 or 10 pounds—which is my case—but the tight jeans, the cellulite, and those heavy, swollen legs? They don't go away. A couple of us sisters have this build, and the other one looks terrible after gaining 10 pounds postpartum... if this was my way to avoid that, why wouldn't I? And don't even get me started on circulation issues. Good grief, I wasn't going in there to get a larger chest size or anything.
And I totally agree about how hard it is to find the time, the patience, and the willpower when you're juggling work and college (it's almost like I actually have kids, haha)😁

quietpilot87—ever since I started watching those makeover shows, I really wonder how much of that perfect look those famous people, like actors, owe to a surgeon's knife versus just living healthy?

Exactly!😍
