Can anyone recommend a decent place to check if they’re actually accepting new patients? The clinic here in our Suburban town where we've been living for the last few years is an absolute disaster. You can't make appointments, and wait times are measured in hours. On average, you're sitting there for two or three hours, and that's only when there are maybe three or four people in the waiting room 🤦.
Even for something simple, like getting a medical note signed or extending sick leave, the doctor insists on seeing you in his office rather than just letting a nurse handle it, which just adds to the wait. It’s driving us all insane. Everyone complains about it, yet nobody seems to actually say anything or take action.
When you're actually sick, he demands that you show up in person every two or three days 😵.
If the nurse would just write down some numbers on a slip of paper so I could swing by and come back a few hours later, I wouldn't be complaining so much 😠.

I am honestly willing to drive quite a distance—somewhere like a different part of the city or even further out—just to get away from this mess. I just want a place where there's actually a system, maybe through appointments or a numbered queue, where things are handled with a bit of human decency. I shouldn't have to sit there for hours just to grab a tiny scrap of paper from the nurse...

Hvala.

Does anyone have recommendations for a general practitioner in the Suburban neighborhood who accepts Medicare?
Specifically, I am looking for someone currently taking on new patients.

Has anyone here had any experience with the Profozic Medical Clinic in the Suburban neighborhood? I noticed they’re running a discount on abdominal and breast ultrasounds, but I don't really know anyone who has actually gone there before.

I am uncertain if my inquiry strictly belongs in this specific section; however, please send your answers to my private messages, ideally accompanied by your own personal experiences.

I am currently searching for a doctor specializing in Chinese herbal medicine here in the US.

Who among them is truly reliable?

To be honest, I'm really unhappy with my current doctor and want to switch, but I don't want to end up with someone even worse. They seem totally indifferent. If I just need a quick appointment for a referral or a prescription, I have to call ten times before anyone actually picks up. They aren't helpful at all, and they even had the nerve to lecture me about not taking antidepressants, blah blah blah.
🙂

I can suggest Ivancic Toplican from the Retkovec Health Center; she’s wonderful. 🙂

Anyone have a solid recommendation for a dermatologist around the Miami area? Just looking for a standard checkup—mole screenings, skin stuff, the usual. Thanks!

Amanda Bennett98 said:Can anyone living in San Francisco recommend a good pediatrician, dentist, GP, or gynecologist? I just moved here recently and would really appreciate some guidance on who has a solid reputation. I need to get these appointments set up as soon as possible—the sooner the better. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know specifically who is the fastest or most responsive pediatrician? That's my top priority right now.

Has anyone here ever visited the endocrinologist at the Suburban neighborhood clinic, Dr. Tanja Škorić polovina? Ovdje I see a few comments floating around; most people seem to be saying wonderful things, yet there is this one single negative review. Does anyone have any insight they could share? I would truly value hearing your honest opinions.

I'm wondering where I can get a high-quality abdominal ultrasound done—should I go through a hospital or stick to a private clinic? I really need a solid recommendation for a specialist (kidney focus) who will give me a thorough exam and actually has experience dealing with kidney disease and renal function. My last scan from the UVZ Organization showed that both kidneys are shrunken. I'm currently in Chicago, but I'm open to suggestions for doctors in other cities too. Thanks!

Hi there! My 6-year-old boy has been dealing with chronic hives for about two and a half years now. Since we're coming from Canada and don't have access to a pediatric immunologist here, I was wondering if anyone could recommend one in Miami who takes private patients? He’s actually off his medication right now because he’s been on it for way too long, so we really need to get him seen as soon as possible!

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a good general practitioner in my suburban town or nearby Saint Joseph?
I’m looking for someone seasoned and genuinely well-intentioned—and frankly, someone with a competent nurse who actually picks up the phone.
It would be a true blessing if they also knew how to navigate an email inbox without making it a struggle.
Hvala.

The guy who is absolute best for ultrasounds is Dr. Tonković over at Sunce Clinic in Chicago, in the Suburban neighborhood, if he's still there... he can spot everything on an ultrasound, even the tiniest carcinoma... honestly, when he tells me everything looks clear, I finally breathe easy...

Look, he isn't a nephrologist... but give them a call, ask when you can talk to him over the phone, and just pick his brain... if you can't find a better way to handle it...

That doesn't necessarily mean you're in the clear. He "reliably" missed two inguinal hernias of mine, which sent my entire diagnostic process down a dead end. I spent another two years in miserable pain before finding a surgeon who actually spotted them and operated. If I had been smart enough to doubt his findings from the start, I would have saved myself two years of absolute agony.

Hvala, I already have a second doctor lined up, so I'll leave some impressions once I've actually seen them.

Who is the best urologist in Chicago? Based on your own experiences, is there anyone specific you'd recommend at the Suburban neighborhood urology clinic?
