Johns Hopkins Hospital over on Kennedy has this specialized burn unit. It’s actually the only hospital I know of that maintains its own dedicated department for burns. For kids, they handle those cases at the Pasteur children's hospital too.

I’m looking for some solid recommendations for:

1) A good primary care physician in Washington, D.C. (ideally somewhere near Downtown, Midtown, the Upper West Side, or Brooklyn—just nothing out in the far reaches like Queens or Aurora, otherwise I feel like I need a flight just to get a checkup... 🙂). I’m not super picky, but I have a few dealbreakers: I don't want someone who gives me the "death stare" the second I walk through the door, I shouldn't have to fight for my life just to get a referral to a specialist, and I definitely don't want to sit in a waiting room for two hours even when I actually have an appointment scheduled weeks in advance...

2) A dentist in that same general area. It’s really important to me that they don't treat me like I'm undergoing psychological testing before they'll even touch me just because they're trying to skimp on anesthesia. I'd prefer someone who does the job right so my tooth doesn't fall out mid-meal or end up loose in my mouth because the filling wasn't properly secured. 🙂

Thanks in advance for any leads! Feel free to shoot me a DM or just reply here!

John Smith in Brooklyn is the best.

I’m not picky, I just don't want someone who looks at me like garbage the second I walk in, or make me feel like I'm dying just to get a referral, or have me waiting in line for two hours even though I booked a month ago...

2) A dentist in the same area. It's important that I don't need special mental prep before going, since they cheap out on anesthesia and my tooth might fall out the same day or end up loose in my mouth because it wasn't "screwed in" right. 🙂

Thanks for any tips via PM or here!

A great dentist over in Arlington is Jane Doe

Look, I’m not one for theories. Honestly, I have no clue why anyone would call him the "best," or if there even is such a thing as a "best" specialist in this field. I actually had a consultation with him myself—okay, full disclosure, it was about ten years ago, but the memory is still crystal clear—and the whole conversation basically went like this: "Look, you've got a problem, I don't. So, who are you to question me? If you don't like my approach, just go somewhere else." So, I did exactly that. I took his advice and went "somewhere else." And while I wouldn't say I hit the jackpot either—since my breathing issues haven't been permanently fixed yet—at least I wasn't treated with that kind of attitude. Reading through some of the experiences shared in the "nose job" threads here, it seems like I'm definitely not the only one who got the cold shoulder from him.

Thanks for the heads-up! Honestly, though, it wouldn't really make sense for me to go to her since she isn't even located in Washington, D.C. It’s just too much of a trek! 🙂

Hi there!

Does anyone know a good ENT specialist who can perform a high-quality ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration on a parotid gland node? I've had some experiences I shared over at this link so I'm looking for some reliable advice.
Thanks.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions via PM or right here!

To reiterate, try Mary Johnson; her office is located within the 3rd pavilion of the Springfield complex... she is wonderful with female patients, she is incredibly thorough with her work, and you won't have to deal with any unnecessary stress before your appointment... 😉

I’ve had some rather complicated experiences regarding this matter, which I detailed over at this link if anyone feels like reading through them.
Thanks.

I don't know much about your specific situation, but I actually saw Dr. Đepine over in the Napa Valley area for a nose job...
I'm not sure if he'll be the right fit for you, but you might want to give his office a call just to check. He's an incredibly kind and approachable person, so even if he isn't the one you see, you can at least have a decent conversation with him...

Thanks! I'll give him a call and see what the doctor thinks.

Oh, man, that is awesome! That's right in my neck of the woods. Honestly, if I happen to scream my head off because of a toothache, people will probably just assume it's some big game being celebrated over at the local college dorm anyway. Thanks for the tip! 👍

For anyone out there hunting for the absolute best dentist, I’ve got a recommendation you seriously need to hear! 👍
First off, let me just say that if you want things done right, it is absolutely worth driving to another city to find the right specialist!
I actually learned what the word "butcher" really means during a trip to Miami when I saw a certain Sarah Miller in action. 🙏
I went in for a simple frenectomy, and honestly, you wouldn't believe the disaster that followed!!! The guy was supposed to be using a laser, but since he clearly skipped out on his training, he decided to use me as his personal guinea pig... he burned my gums all the way down to the bone... oh my God! It was horrific! He’s lucky he didn't give me a formal receipt, because if he had, I would have sued him blind!!!
He needs to have his license revoked immediately!!! :mad
So please, be extremely careful out there! Even though that guy claims to have been practicing for 25 years!
After spending two agonizing weeks searching for someone competent, I finally stumbled upon Dr. James Madison from Washington, D.C. Here is the link to his website www.dental-miletic.com

The man quite literally saved me! He monitored my condition for five months straight, reached out to the top periodontists in Washington, D.C., and stayed in constant contact with me throughout the whole ordeal!
I just walked out of my final check-up today, and my gums have completely healed, plus he fitted me with Amazon crowns for my four front teeth.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Americ...B/200670171647
Just look for yourselves! The photo speaks for itself!
I am beyond thrilled!!! And don't even get me started on the prices! I can tell you with total confidence that he is the most affordable option in America, because I made it my mission to call every single office in the area!
Are you wondering what the catch is??? There isn't one! 😁
As for the service itself, it is top-tier; the entire team is incredibly polite, the office is spotless, the atmosphere feels better than being at home, and the doctor works with such incredible gentleness—he is just truly, truly amazing!!! When you are there, you feel like you aren't even in the US anymore; it has this great American vibe where they treat you like royalty, almost like you're God himself!

Everything about it was perfect! High praise all around!
Look him up on Facebook and you can see some of the work he's done!
Honestly, I think you could count dentists of this caliber on one hand! Everyone talks themselves up, but the best advertisement is always satisfied patients!
If anyone is interested, I can send over photos of my teeth before and after, but you can also just find them on his Facebook page!

Anyway, that's all I have to say!

If I may append my own thoughts to the previous post—while I was never actually one of his patients, I feel compelled by way of this forum to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. James Madison for the explanations and the reassurance he provided nearly two years ago when I was struggling with a particularly difficult endodontic procedure.
Not only did he take the time to walk me through everything—despite my rather relentless habit of pestering him via email—but he maintained an impeccable level of professionalism, even going so far as to speak quite highly of the truly exceptional dentist who eventually performed my endodontic work.
(I shall refrain from mentioning specific names here, as I am uncertain whether the individual in question would appreciate me commenting on their practice in a public forum like this.)

To put it plainly, I was gripped by an intense fear, suffering from such debilitating pain that there were moments in the middle of the night when I genuinely contemplated rushing to the emergency room just to have the tooth extracted... but fortunately, it all turned out quite well.
Dr. James Madison, thank you.

Are they actually professionals? Are they communicative? Do they even possess a shred of empathy? 😉

If anyone happens to be near my neck of the woods—around the Suburban neighborhood, Small town, or maybe closer to the downtown area—could you please point me in the right direction? I’m looking for a solid recommendation for a general practitioner. I have a few names on my list, but I’d love some honest advice on which one of these "options" is actually worth my time! 🤷👍

Does anyone happen to know where Emily Davis is practicing these days?? She was supposed to take over the clinic in the Suburban neighborhood, but she never did. Every time I try searching on Google, it just keeps pointing me toward some random private practice.

Ronald Green31 said:I am looking for a high-quality internist or gastroenterologist. When I say "high-quality," I am not referring to their academic titles, media presence, or public profile. Rather, I am seeking a physician who stays current with evolving medical research, pursues continuous education, and implements the most advanced treatment techniques available in their field. I am willing to travel to Washington, D.C., or any other major metropolitan area. Thank you.

Brandon Diaz29 said:Essentially, I need to schedule spinal surgery as soon as possible. My L4-L5 is bulging by 3.3 mm, and there is a 12.0 mm dorzomedial protrusion at L5-S1. This is compressing both the cauda equina and both S1 nerve roots. It’s quite a serious diagnosis. I have already undergone both CT and MRI scans, and the consensus from the specialists reading the imaging, as well as Dr. Blajic from San Diego, is that surgery is an urgent necessity.

Since I do not wish to rely solely on the opinion of a single neurosurgeon, I would appreciate it if you could recommend others who are considered among the absolute best in the United States.

EDIT: NEUROSURGEON!
