Sorry if this has already been posted, but... I'm looking for a decent GP in the new part of Washington, D.C. (ideally near Remetinec, Park Avenue, or Trnsko) who takes Medicare and is currently accepting new patients... Thanks.

Hello everyone. Over the last month or so leading up to my delivery, I started dealing with some skin issues—specifically, my palms and soles began itching so intensely it was driving me absolutely insane. Over time, it started spreading across my entire body, and honestly, things have only gotten worse now that I've given birth because I feel like I'm covered in sores. During my pregnancy, I had several tests done, including liver function panels, and all the results came back perfectly normal. I eventually saw a dermatologist who diagnosed me with urticaria and prescribed a very strict diet along with some tablets to take twice a day. However, because I was pregnant, my primary care physician refused to write the prescription under any circumstances, insisting that those medications were unsafe during pregnancy, which left me in a real bind. I ended up attributing everything to the pregnancy, but while I was scratching, these tiny little bumps appeared, accompanied by redness, and now it has reached a breaking point and everything looks even worse. To make a long story short, I am not looking to pay out of pocket for a private specialist, but is there anyone worth seeing in Washington, D.C., that isn't an impossible trek from the Suburban City area? Who would you recommend? I’m asking because I still don’t know my way around the city very well. Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
I'm also on the hunt for a primary care physician (ideally a GP) who is currently accepting new patients in the new suburban areas—maybe near Brooklyn, Siget, or Dubrava, whichever is most convenient! If anyone knows someone good, please let me know... thanks 😉

There seem to be plenty of questions being asked here, but I'm noticing very few actual answers. It would be incredibly helpful if you could provide genuine recommendations for a primary care physician or a specialist; it would really help those of us out there searching.
I'm currently looking for a solid GP—ideally someone a bit younger—somewhere around the Downtown or Trnsko areas. My current doctor is heading toward retirement soon, so I'll need to transition to someone new, which is why I'm reaching out.
Also, I was wondering about the same thing regarding specialists. Has anyone here had any experience with the Binoculus eye clinic over in the Vrban area? I'm thinking about booking a full, detailed exam there, but I wanted to check first. Their website makes it look like they have top-tier equipment, though it seems like foot traffic is pretty low... maybe just because they're a little further out from the heart of the city.

I'm looking for the same thing. I need a GP who actually listens to patients instead of just rushing through, someone kind and easy to talk to when I need a referral. Ideally, she’d be near Central Park, Petrov Street, or maybe even over in Dubrava. If anyone knows a good one, hit me up—DMs are fine too. Thanks.

Still looking for info here 🙂
It could be anywhere from Downtown, Queens, Borongaj, the bus terminal, Central Park, or even Dubrava... basically anywhere within walking distance of a tram line.
Is it really too much to ask for a good doctor?

You know, someone who looks you in the eye, says hello when you walk in (🙂), really listens, offers solid advice, and doesn't play games when it comes to issuing referrals or prescriptions. I just want a conscientious doctor who takes the time to check my medical history... basically, a decent GP in the Central Park area, or maybe somewhere in the eastern part of town heading toward Downtown (as long as it's near a tram line). If you have any recommendations from doctors you actually trust, please let me know—I really need to move on from my current doctor, because honestly, I never know if I can 😲 or 🤣

I don't think that's quite the case, though maybe people just aren't eager to give recommendations or perhaps they aren't even stopping by this thread. If I knew for sure, I guess I would have recommended it, if only through a private message.

Hey there! I’m looking for some dermatologist recommendations here in Washington, D.C. Honestly, I don't care if it's a private practice or through insurance, I just need someone who can actually fix my skin and get my face back to normal. These breakouts are driving me absolutely insane. 😢

Does anyone know if there are any private endocrinologists in Miami? And more importantly, if so, is anyone actually worth seeing?🙂

Does anyone know of a private nutritionist in Indianapolis??? I am desperately seeking a recommendation! 🙂

Seriously, just go talk to your primary care doctor first, I heard some stuff over at the KBO hospital,
Does anyone know a solid eye specialist in Indianapolis?

So, basically, where in Washington, D.C. can I get a dental X-ray using a referral from Medicare?
My work hours are just... well, they're pretty ridiculous—the typical 9-to-5 grind—so I really need to find a lab or clinic that offers appointments outside of those standard business hours.
Also, do you usually get the results right then and there?
Thanks so much!
I'm not 100% sure what their specific hours are, but you should be able to get it done over in the Laginjina area at the Community Health Center.

Brandon Diaz29 said:So, I'm trying to figure out how quickly I need to get surgery for my spine. I've got an L4-L5 bulge at 3.3 mm and an L5-S1 dorso-medial protrusion of 12.0 mm. It’s pressing right on the cauda equina and both S1 nerve roots—basically a massive diagnosis. I've done the CT and MRI scans, and everyone is telling me I need surgery ASAP—from the specialists reading the imaging to Dr. Blajic in San Diego!
Since I don't want to just rely on one neurosurgeon's opinion, could you guys recommend someone else who is considered among the absolute best in the US?
EDIT: NEUROSURGEON!
I'm not sure if you've already gone under the knife, but definitely check out Dr. Paladino. He successfully operated on a friend of mine for a brain tumor, so I'd feel totally confident with him for this too.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a gynecologist in Washington, D.C.? I’m looking for someone who actually does a thorough job—you know, really listens—and won't judge me for asking what feel like "stupid" questions. Also, it would be a huge help if they accept Medicare referrals. Thanks!

Does anyone know a solid oncologist who actually knows their stuff when it comes to sarcomas?
I'm basically looking for the absolute best one in the Washington, D.C. area.

Has anyone here dealt with the Mayo Clinic?
I'm wondering about their pricing—supposedly on the lower end—and how the quality and aesthetics of the dental work actually turn out.
Maybe someone could recommend a different place instead?
