I’m having some trouble getting my macOS update to actually trigger. Every time I click the icon, absolutely nothing happens. I’ve even tried running it as an administrator, but still, no luck whatsoever.
It feels like I’m just hitting a brick wall here.😵
I suppose there might be some underlying reason for this, but I'm not entirely sure what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas on how else I might be able to force the update through?

So, which macOS version are we talking about here? I ran into some real headaches back when I was using Windows 7—I actually had to reboot my laptop several times before it would finally decide to pull down those macOS updates.

I actually kicked off a macOS update on two different machines just yesterday. One went through without a hitch, but the other one? Total nightmare. I’ve spent several hours trying every possible fix to get the update to stick, but absolutely nothing is working.
Both are running Windows 7, though the one that actually finished successfully is the 64-bit version.

I'm having the same headache with Windows 7 updates on a few machines I just did clean installs on. They simply refuse to download. It just sits there spinning for hours on "checking for updates"... it's an ongoing issue with fresh Windows installs right now. However, you can always grab Windows 7 ISOs from the Bell website that have all the updates integrated through May 2015.
