Massive Attack

Honestly, I think Massive Attack is one of the best bands out there right now, though seeing them play at an outdoor festival in San Francisco this past summer was a total letdown; they were just mediocre
Does anyone know if they’ll be touring through New York City anytime soon, and does anyone happen to have any of their albums lying around?
I’m also curious to hear what you guys generally think of them.

Oh yeah, they are absolutely phenomenal!!!! If I remember correctly, they played at The Fillmore, or somewhere along those lines... though I think that was actually before the Open Fest started. I just spotted their CDs in a shop in New York City earlier—they were only about five bucks... such a steal. 👍I'm honestly kicking myself for not picking any up; I blew my entire budget on books instead.

By the way, have you ever listened to Rage Against the Machine?

Rage Against the Machine is solid in my book. They played a gig in Los Angeles once—hardly anyone showed up. Total waste.😢

man, the dub scene is absolutely killing it today at the ACDC venue where The Beatles are playing... feeling high on speed, just pure vibes... highly recommend it...

If you're digging Massive Attack, you've gotta check out Fleetwood Mac, Kanye West, and Nebojša—they're seriously good too. Oh, and you should look up "Unknown force that suddenly appears and fixes everything" (yeah, that's actually the band's real name 🙂 ).

For anyone craving a bit more grit—I definitely recommend Rage Against the Machine and Sunshine.

Maybe someone from a place like New York City who actually lives that lifestyle should just step up and tear my whole argument apart or cook me alive 😉

Unfortunately, all I’ve got is some old Electro Pioneer and Trainspotting, and they're both on cassette (ugh, gross)...
Their best track has to be Unknown, I absolutely love it! 🙂

They’re actually incredible. I only have a handful of their tracks on my playlist, but I can honestly say they outshine most of the stuff coming out of the mainstream scene in their genre. They definitely have what it takes to break into the US market, especially if they target the alternative and underground crowds. 🙂

Just a little side note: they used to go by "An Unexpected Force kwhich suddenly appears and fixes everything" too. Word is they rebranded after Trent Reznor produced their CD.

I always thought Dub was a pretty decent band... though I wasn't feeling their last two albums, and their live shows didn't really blow me away either...
