this movie is absolute garbage, man
I mean, the concept itself isn't bad, and that opening atmosphere is killer—it stays intense right up until the sister's death, which is heavy. But then Bauer just loses it, starts acting like he's straight out of a CIA training session, and begins running around like he’s the only actor on the planet.
The way he walks, acts, carries himself... it's like he thinks he's still in season 22 of 24.
I honestly had no idea what I was watching when he told that guy, "Tell me what you know OR ELSE I'LL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE!!" Like, seriously, dude? "I'll make your life miserable" because I'm freaking Bauer?!
Hey man, shouldn't you be a regular cop, maybe a night watchman at a warehouse or something, instead of some freaking elite anti-terrorist specialist?
Then he bursts into a private residence with a gun pointed at his head after she calls him out, and that's where everything falls apart. He just stops caring and turns the whole thing into a joke.
A few scenes feel like they were ripped from New York City, and then suddenly this woman transforms into Spider-Man or Venom and starts swinging around like she jumped straight out of a Marvel comic... I was just sitting there like "WTF," half-laughing, half-confused. That tension and horror vibe from the start? Totally gone, felt like a different movie I saw three months ago... and then the grand finale—Spider-Man's BBQ. Wow. Such a cool ending. Now I'm just stuck in a world where nobody gets me and the subtitles are backwards, but everything else seems fine... ugh...
Can someone please explain how anything about this could be good? I'm actually considering buying the collector's edition of this mess.😁

not bad—if you catch it on TV after midnight when nothing else is on...
it starts off tense enough, then it just turns into total chaos... the ending is peak stupidity
I mean, I've seen worse, but I definitely expected a bit more from this

The movie was decent enough and the plot held up, but honestly, that ending left a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly, this movie is a total disaster. Just a massive snooze fest—there isn't even a hint of actual horror in it.

Honestly, that movie was a total bust for me. It felt rushed, full of plot holes, and the ending... man, everything was just so forced. But after watching [REC], I can tell you right now—that's how you make a real movie. I’m planning on catching Shutter tonight (the US version, since I'm not really in the mood for the Thai original), so please tell me if I'm making a mistake.😕

Don't do it!!!! Oh my God !!!!!! Seriously, don't even think about it!!!!!🤣 This movie is a complete disaster. If you haven't seen anything original lately, this is basically just a collection of every cliché ever. The Ring, The Grudge... whatever US horror tropes you can think of, they're all crammed in here.

P.S. Mirror is actually a pretty decent flick—it delivers on what it promises without cheapening the experience by trying to jump-scare you constantly (you know, the whole thing where pigeons, cats, or people suddenly pop out of nowhere). The story is good, even if some parts feel a bit illogical, and the atmosphere is solid. My only gripe is that sometimes you see a bit of Bauer coming from Kiefer—I guess he thought he was making something different—but the ending is actually one of the better ones, mostly because it doesn't cave to the usual demand for a crappy happy ending.

Melissa Wilson2 said:I watched half of it🙄 before giving up—the file was glitching out or something (classic Divx issues)... so I'll try finishing it later, what's left of it🤷 but honestly, all those Asian horror flicks just feel like a repetitive loop to me. I still remember watching "The Curse" and having zero clue who anyone was—everyone looks identical, which I think is a massive flaw in their whole film industry.

Check out how this guy manages to mimic about 500 different Asian actors in just two minutes 500 impressions in 2 minutes🤣 🤣 🤣

😂Total madness. Everyone's basically the same now because every single movie relies on that one trope—some ghost lady with a pale face. It’s hard to get actually scared when everything follows the exact same template. I'm getting ready to marathon Quarantine, so if anyone has suggestions... I watched REC and man, that movie was freaking incredible. Only thing that bugged me was the handheld camera work—half the shots were totally out of focus—but hey, I guess that's how you make a decent found-footage flick.

The movie is solid—nothing groundbreaking, but definitely worth a watch... I honestly don't get why everyone finds the ending so aggravating (though, if I'm being real, I could see it coming). It’s basically about harvesting souls that end up trapped on the other side. You don't really need to overthink the logic behind everything, because at the end of the day, a horror film's main job is to keep you on the edge of your seat and maintain that sense of dread throughout the whole runtime... and that's pretty much what you want from a horror flick, right?

hm, the movie had a killer start... and honestly, the ending landed pretty well.
but the middle part? kind of a slog. I was expecting more than a 6/10.😢

The movie wasn't even that scary—honestly, it was kind of a snooze fest—but that ending? Pretty clever. 🙂

I’m totally lost here... like, what am I even looking at? Is he actually inside the mirror? How does that even work? And what happens now... can he actually reach out and touch stuff? If he can't, is he just some kind of ghost? And why is everyone else acting like nothing is happening? Like, how do they not see him? wtf?

Sure, whatever's happening on the other side of the Mirror is one thing... but honestly, who cares what he can do there? The point is he’s trapped now. He'll stay stuck there until someone decides to break him out and take his place, just like how he did that whole thing with the nun...

Hmm, I gotta say, it feels like even the writers were totally winging it at the end. It's like they just went with the old "let's throw in a massive wauu effect and hope it sticks" strategy. Personally? It didn't work for me. There's this other flick with a pretty similar vibe—I think it was Premonition—which is about the same level of quality, maybe even a little more of a slog to get through. Both of them are sitting at a solid 6/10 for me.
