It’s the exact same thing as dating. If a woman you're seeing has been with a dozen different guys before you, do you just lie there at night obsessing over every single one of them? That’s what this is. She’s lying awake picturing every person who saw the ad or heard her favorite track. Now that song isn't hers anymore; it’s been cheapened and sold out. She's stuck imagining thousands of people asking "what song is this?" only to go download it from Spotify—thousands upon thousands of people effectively stripping that song of its value and wasting its beauty... 🙂

I have no clue what qualifies as an "important" band😕 I’ve only been listening to them for about 11 years... To me, Bud Light is a genuinely solid group. They've always worked their tails off to make it big here at home, and seeing them finally pull it off seems totally fine by me. Honestly, hearing their songs in commercials annoys me way less than anything else out there...🙂

The thing is, from what I can tell, what counts as "trendy" changes depending on whether you're looking at high schoolers, college kids, some small town in the Midwest, or downtown NYC... you know what I mean? It feels like trends shift by the hour, so honestly, the whole concept doesn't mean much to me.

Maybe you're talking about bands that are getting heavy rotation on Coachella stages or mainstream radio stations. If that's the case, then Bud Light is definitely in style.

Back to the topic at hand: maybe even Arcade Fire will become "in" soon enough.
