Exactly, they’re just high-energy, fun as hell when you see them live.
But man, if we're talking about dehydration, my mind goes straight back to Slayer playing at a club in Brooklyn back in 2013. Klik
I don't think I've ever sweated that much in my entire life—that show was absolutely brutal. It's such a damn shame that Hanneman passed away just a month before, otherwise I would've caught them with that legendary original lineup.

Even if you just look at one single game... ugh, don't even get me started. ))
Hey everyone! Does anyone know if those high school marching band majorettes still exist in cities like Chicago?
I actually remembered this brilliant topic a couple of days ago, reread it, and honestly, it was pure chaos. 😂
If you’re having a rough day or whatever, here’s a little something to cheer you up. 🤣 😁

I’m all about the drama! That track is such a standout,
though I guess the whole album hits like that.
I haven't checked out Kelsea Ballerini yet—is she worth a listen?
On repeat since this morning: New Amsterdam 🧐

I’ve never been one for political rallies; I spent my youth just grinding through punk, rock, and metal 😁
The local folk music scene doesn't do anything for me either—I can't stand that stuff unless we're talking about those rustic ranch retreats out in Montana where the food is actually decent.
We are him

Lisa Davis46 said:after a hectic first week back on an empty campus and dealing with a brutal, sweltering summer in the middle of NYC...
today the air is actually clear—green hills everywhere, super fresh, just breathing easy... honestly, I'm just craving the beach or a river right now:
So, are we actually getting a new professor?😁
OT: personally, spending the summer in the city—especially August—makes me want to dive deep into some old childhood nostalgia, and for some reason, one of my favorite soundtracks for that vibe is this classic Paramount Pictures gem:

Hey guys, just as a little nostalgic tribute, I was actually listening to some Bijelo Dugme yesterday! Honestly, it’s a great movie, even though the songs used to annoy me before because they felt a bit... I don't know, half-baked? But my dad absolutely loved listening to them, both before and after the war, so I ended up growing to love certain albums and tracks too. 🙂
Lately, I’ve been nodding along with Stubler, since I run into him all the time while he’s wandering the rugged coasts of Maui, dressed head-to-toe with that signature bandana. He’s a cool guy, even if he seems a little eccentric (and maybe a bit crazy).
So then, NP:

As far as the university goes, it’s not just some academic thing—it’s a total (and urgent) post-disaster reconstruction. Modern girls get up at six in the morning in August. Modern girls are busy documenting the first two colleges that will be renovated (coming soon), starting with Political Science! (Xavi and Inconnu 👋). Modern girls are out there surveying and mapping everything needed, above and below ground, from surface covers to manholes. But honestly, you're probably better off living in ignorance and having no clue what’s hiding under the streets of Chicago, especially during the summer.
And, fittingly:
take me away from this city

@vanča, I won't get too deep into the weeds here, but if you ever get the chance, you absolutely have to catch the live show; there’s just some strange magic to it that I can't quite put my finger on. It’s always been that way for me, anyway, and much like Jason Mendoza, I’ve never really considered myself a massive fan of folk music. )))

Okay, I'll just say in bold that we all have the right to freak out against the system once in a while. Personally, I'm always the first one to go off the rails.😁
Don't tell me you're walking around in that leather jacket when it's 100 degrees out...🤦
And they aren't "half-baked"—Film released two CDs full of absolute classics, mostly from the mid-80s. Here's probably the coolest thing from the New York New Wave era:
Props to you for the renovation of FDP (even though I didn't attend, it's basically my school since I spent a tiny bit of time on the air at Student Radio), and as for the NYC underground, I've been suffering for ten days straight because I have to deal with a cockroach invasion right in front of my building. Standard stuff from the grocery store doesn't work, I don't exactly enjoy killing things, the old lady in my building is complaining, and the manager couldn't care less as long as he's collecting rent and chilling out somewhere in central California.
In that spirit—an indie masterpiece:

If you want to know about my version of paradise, ask me.
"And I won't,
I won't beg the gods for mercy,
Nor will I pray for the grace of your heaven.
If you want to know about my paradise, just ask me.
I’ve spent my nights resting on the chest of a woman who was truly satisfied.
So if you can't find a quiet little corner for me
In your perfect little world,
Then honestly, screw all the blessings this world has to offer.
I'm heading back to my own paradise.
"
That's what Tom would say—an old-school anarchist.

For the grace of your heaven's pleasure

Then I spit on all the graces in this world
I'm heading back to my own paradise"
Tell them that, old anarchist Tom
Our man Tom, Tom Waits over all other Waits.
Gritty old uncle! 🙂

That last one was solid. 👍
Everything from that era—it's older, electronic, and ambitious. From today's perspective, it looks nothing short of monumental.
It’s all just a facade.
And I've got Tangerine Dream on my hit list... 😁

This woman is basically the ultimate queen of geeks.
I picture myself having some intense summer romance with her back in July of '75. We’re hanging out in some greasy, artsy studio, and through pure sexual energy, I’m becoming one with this massive artistic spirit and those pointy tits. 😁 😬
I'm no artist. When it comes to anything supernatural or creative, I can only really connect using the one instrument the universe saw fit to give me. 🕺 🤣
thanks for the link
