I’m just scrolling through some forum posts about tourists visiting the East Coast, and I happened to stumble upon this one:
God, those people from the Deep South are such obnoxious, stingy jerks. You go down there, they charge you for the damn air you breathe, and then they act like they're doing you a massive favor just by existing.
Meanwhile, if you head up to places like Seattle or Portland, for that exact same amount of money, everyone is so incredibly helpful they practically want to roll over for you.
Oh, good grief 😁

Gooood evening, the workday is finally over ))

Look, people who have never spent a single day working a service job in this industry usually think they can just walk in and demand special treatment because they're handing over some cash. It drives me absolutely insane—honestly, just as much as those wannabe influencers crawling all over everything, begging for freebies and handouts.

Those damn Southerners—man, they can be such jerks. You go there and they charge you for breathing, then act like you're bothering them.
Meanwhile, if you're out in the Midwest or somewhere else, for the same money they're so helpful it’s almost ridiculous.
Oh my god 😁

Good-good-good-good evening—work day is finally done ))

haha, another one of those hits I love singing off-key to while driving 😬

So yeah, working Sunday, no waves out there and it's raining. Just a little bit. Currently listening to Sufjan Stevens & Angelo De Augustine - Back to Oz ...

That’s wonderful, my dear 👍; I’d honestly love to pull that off myself if I weren't such a complete disaster. 😁

Anyway, what do the internet trolls, the folks at Juventus, Manchester United, my old man, my mom, my uncle, my boss, or even this gloomy morning and the entire universe have to say about it?

They tell us: your love is like fine wine )

Losing hits me hard, especially when it’s against a team like Cleveland. And having to deal with it on a Monday? Just adds insult to injury.

Starting Monday, I’ve got 11 new ones on my plate—it seems I always end up with the heaviest workload—and one of them is already a mother.
In the past, during shifts like this, I’ve occasionally had to deal with a newborn right in the middle of a lecture. 😬 )))
So, that's the situation.

Back in early September, I received a postcard from my friend Culeta, an author living out in New York City. He wrote, "Dear Dule, I'm really pushing this river-novel concept," on the card.

I responded with something a bit more poetic: "Dear Culeta, believe me, it isn't easy for me either. My head is overflowing with characters, and frankly, I have no clue what to do with the one I'm holding right now."

Not long after, a telegram arrived: "Just let it go stop It's the most beautiful thing stop In life and in prose alike stop"

Hold up—didn't I already drop the link to this masterpiece? Whatever—even if we post it once a day, it's still worth it.

OT: This is exactly why I love Kozeleka. One minute he’s telling his bandmates to get lost, and the next he’s recording one of the most beautiful songs ever written about a pet.

I just took a look, you've been popping up in other threads too.

Here's a depressing one for you.

So yeah.

👍 Having a baby in class is great, as long as the young mom sticks with her schooling. Good luck, everyone! 🙂

Since I can't make it over to Japan myself... maybe Japan can come to me, right here in the States:

Fujiyama + Rising Sun (though you really have to listen to the entire album too)... 😍

It’s probably one of Brubeck's best, alongside some other Eastern-inspired jazz vibes.
I’ll probably suggest that soon (on a topic we all know pretty well)!

How are you guys doing? What's up? 🙂
