pre-game bash

When you see me coming, don't expect any change
Don't sweat it, honey, we can work something out
Give me a smile, just one for me
I'll settle things with a drumstick, on the house

The way Joe plays...

Man, this whole thing just screams "1994" to me.😍

Same goes for this part, too. It was a total masterpiece—even for the most picky listeners. Just those first little hints of that pre-millennium fever.

The old witch has brewed up another disaster.

What a mess

My rookie
My darling
My sweetheart
My soulmate
My love
My friends
You get five minutes of my time

I remember clearly when I first actually sat down and listened to what he was singing about. It wasn't just background noise anymore. Mark Knopfler is one of those guys who knows how to tell a story, but he keeps it grounded and direct. That’s a plus sometimes. I don't experience the music the same way I used to, but it still hangs around in the back of my mind. I still enjoy putting it on.

Solid CD. The bio is basically just a newborn, but the recording itself? Pure mastery.

The Rolling Stones

compared to

Marianne Faithfull

In my humble opinion—though I realize taste is entirely subjective—the first one is simply superior from an instrumental standpoint, whereas the second offers a much more compelling vocal performance.

I had no idea Corey Taylor had made a guest appearance on those solo tracks.
