^What a massive mood shift compared to how I felt about fall and my music choices😁

I’m loving this—the weather is finally hitting that sweet spot, the city is actually waking up, and there are so many movies out right now I can't even pick one. I am just not a winter person. Definitely #teamseptember

I h a t e
fall...
it’s just been freezing inside my place lately.
I don't have AC or any decent insulation, but man, it is gorgeous outside!

just watching the Sun slowly dip down on a Wednesday afternoon.
And I swear it’s getting dark earlier every single day, if I'm not totally tripping:

the sheltering sky ☼

Ashley Grant66, you should check out this album if you're into 'Remain in Light'...
(though I guess it's a bit much...)
🙂

I was planning on heading to Central Park. Sadly, I doubt I'll make it there this week.

"...might actually go commercial."

As for the rest—it’s a neurotic art-rock masterpiece. That original vinyl pressing of Exposure is absolute gold.

Alright, I’m still out here living it.

So, picture this scene: a seventeen-year-old Jamie Davis9 walks into this local dive bar with her friends—you know the type, pool tables everywhere and great music playing while a bunch of older guys are focused on their games.
Suddenly, this song starts playing. Feeling absolutely invincible and like she owns the entire universe, Jamie Davis9 just casually reaches for the first billiard ball within reach, sinks it into the pocket with this effortless, "I don't even care" attitude, and coolly strolls over toward the bar. 😎
Everyone just stares in silence, while her friends are losing it, giggling and telling her how incredibly cool she thinks she is. 😬 🤣

Every time I hear Brown Eyed Girl, it hits me right in the gut; man, those were the days. 🙂 😁

😍

Jamie Davis9, we have similar memories, though I was only 15, and he used his pool skills as an excuse to try and win me over.

The only time I ever bothered looking for astrological advice—mostly because Scorpio is clogging up every single damn house in my chart, including my rising sign—was when it told me that in the tenth house, it’s basically just me and Hitler. 👎

The only time I actually looked up astrology was because Scorpio is in every single damn house of my chart—including my rising sign—and apparently that means the tenth house is basically just me and Hitler. 👎

You can't just have one sign taking up every single damn house—it's more like you can have multiple planets sitting in one house. Usually, a sign occupies one house, maybe two, or even gets nested depending on the Earth's axial tilt and whatever else—but let's just say one sign per house is the average.
If you have multiple planets clustered in one house, that’s called a stellium—basically means all that energy is hyper-focused in one area. It creates this massive intensity in that specific part of your life, and honestly, most famous people have at least one stellium. I’ve got mine in Sagittarius with four planets—which explains why everyone loves me so much, even when I’m being a total asshole.😁

So, if I'm reading you right—you're rocking MC in Lion? Yeah, me too. Man, the sheer amount of effort I have to put into fixing my hair because of it... honestly, it’s a struggle. But yeah, I definitely have it—I'm a total hairball, for real.😁🙂
An MC at the Lion—that’s a dignified gig. It's definitely not like working at Berkshire Hathaway emptying dumpsters—but even if it were, the guy just radiates authority. People actually respect him... he's basically the king of local code enforcement.
Saturn in the 10th? Honestly, that's solid—it’s right where it belongs, just pure grind and career obsession. It's like having Hitler's level of ambition—if he hadn't kicked the bucket, we probably wouldn't even be here today.😁

So—what’s your sign?

Yeah, even that guy from the link tried to correct my take on it, but he was clearly fighting a losing battle against the musicians. 🙄 😁

By all accounts, it's Libra... and I don't just mean during the last decade of the sign, but literally the final day!!! Of course, right before Scorpio hits.
Still, I'm leaning toward the first option. What about you guys?

Looks like Libra... and I mean not just the end of the sign, but literally the very last day!!! Of course. Right before Scorpio.
Still, I’m leaning toward the first one. What about you guys?

On that final day (astrologers love saying "the last degree"—here we're talking the 29th degree, which I'm guessing is your day, Oct 22nd), you either get a purebred representative of that sign or someone who's basically already the next sign.
Keep in mind the Sun doesn't enter or exit a sign at the exact same hour, or even the same day, every single year.

And generally speaking—people born on the cusp of two signs, usually within a 5-day window, carry traits from both, except for that specific 29th degree situation. Hell, Fish 1968 was actually talking about this on the Music thread last night—correct me if I'm wrong on that bit.

Astrology might not be a science, but it's a perfect system—like a crystal, everything is based on multiples, everything is analog.
12 signs, 12 houses, 4 quadrants in a natal chart, 4 elements, 3 modalities, 2 polarities...

I'm an Aquarius, obviously. What else?😒

all things considered, Libra... and not just the last decade of the sign, but literally the very last day!!! obviously. right before Scorpio. but still, I lead with my main sign. how about you guys?

I think Libras and Aquarians are great. I've actually met quite a few of them throughout my life, more than other signs, I guess. Plenty of Scorpios too, but they feel way too intense for me... I don't really get it. Someone once told me I have the worst combination of Sun and Moon, like they're on totally opposite ends of the spectrum, which always causes drama (like maybe 😵Aries🙂 + Libra rising
)...
Actually, Dennis, do you make birth charts? 😁

Lisa Davis46 said:Alright, so I finally added long sleeves and a throw blanket to my desk setup today—it's a game changer.

I’m all about Libra and Aquarius—honestly, I feel like I’ve crossed paths with them more than any other signs in my life. Scorpios too, but that whole vibe is just way too intense for me... I don't really get it. Someone once told me I have the absolute worst combination of Sun and Moon signs—basically, when they're sitting in opposite positions on the spectrum, it’s always a mess (kind of like an Aries-Capricorn setup). 😵 Libra rising—it's all about that balance. 🙂)...

Dennis Hall41, you doing birth charts too? 😁

Not great. I was checking out the ladies at work—for free, obviously—and honestly, I thought about charging them like $20 a pop on my card, but since I'm an Aries-Libra rising, I’m just always there to help.😁

I'm pretty sure about character sketches—that part is solid. What I don't know—and honestly, this is some high-level math—is the predictions. A real astrologer could literally tell you exactly how and when you're gonna go. Or better yet—they'll just keep it to themselves and tell you what to watch out for.

Your rising sign and moon sign aren't inherently bad—honestly, nothing is really "bad"—it’s just those brutal outer planet aspects when they hit difficult houses. For me, having that Pluto square to my Sun on the IC is a trip—I can't escape this super dark outlook on life, plus I'm constantly terrified of losing people I love or facing total ruin. Some things just require a lot more soul-searching and work.
It’s way more "intense"—or at least messier than just dealing with the opposition—when you're looking at an aspect square, like an Aries-Capricorn instead of an Aries-Libra.

Are you an Aries or was that just a random comment—?

Before things go off the rails in the chat 😁 (if I were still following the official party line—which I basically abandoned for my own sanity—I’d probably be getting sent straight to an Alternative program with some 8,000 points or whatever 😁), let's try to stay on topic.
It isn't Astrology, it's Astronomy—the ultimate metal ballad, honestly better than 99% of the stuff out there, and a total throwback to one legendary band from back in the day.

Dennis Hall41 said:Not great, I guess. Though I've looked at the women at my office—for free, obviously—and I thought about charging them like $20 per reading, but since I'm a Libra rising, I guess I'm always just happy to help. What I'm somewhat sure of are personality sketches.

I mean, I doubt anyone can actually do that, and honestly, I don't want to know (yet).

🙂

Sure it's possible—but when you're talking about those higher spiritual pursuits versus stuff like economics, linguistics, or medicine, true legends are rare. You find great astrologers about as often as you find great artists, philosophers, or mathematicians—maybe one in every 10,000 people in those fields.

The whole point of the NP thread was explained ages ago right here 🙂

For anyone who needs the TL;DR version:
It's the thread where everyone posts what they're listening to, and it basically serves as our main hangout spot. You can talk about anything!

So, you really can't go off-topic even if you tried 😁 But hey, it’s totally fine if the comments stay somewhat related to the music, even if we end up spiraling into occultism or astrology or whatever...
