Honestly, this entire post serves as nothing more than a clear indicator of how much the quality of officiating has plummeted lately.

By the way, that first username is just straight-up trash, and the second one? Total garbage 🙂

I guess you could call this guy a gentleman 🙏

That new Planet of the Apes movie was an absolute disaster... just utterly pointless 🙏

I decided to hit up the movie theater yesterday. Missing out on those $3.75 tickets would have been a real shame. ☕

I finally sat down to watch it. Honestly, it was a great film. The pacing felt a little heavy toward the end, but I’d definitely recommend it.

Has anyone seen Interstellar lately, or maybe that new Brad Pitt flick about fighting Nazis? Are they actually worth the watch?

It's okay, I guess.

Fury bets big on being stupid, featuring a single tank that somehow dominates everyone... I enjoy war movies, but this feels almost farcical right from the jump...

That's just how all those Hollywood WWII movies work.
One squad, one tank, one whatever > 300k Germans.

Honestly, it’s just pathetic—completely unworthy of even being called a professional unit, and frankly, I'm just beyond disappointed at this point.

She’s gone, and honestly, it’s just freaking incredible. 🙏

I actually found Fury with Brad Pitt surprisingly decent—it was a really solid movie, honestly, especially if you just mentally edit out that final act. But man, what can you even expect from Hollywood? It’s always the same damn thing.

Interstellar is finally hitting theaters, and honestly, I’m just praying for a decent exit from this dump so I can actually sit down and watch a real movie the right way for once.

Has anyone here actually sat down to watch Good People? I’ve decided on a back-to-back movie marathon tonight, so that’s my plan for this evening.

The ending of Fury feels like something Kenji would actually dig—well, maybe just the first half, the serious bit. Since there’s basically zero good WWII movies out there right now (unless you count the ones from the civilian perspective), I actually appreciated Fury. My only gripe is they went a little overboard with the finale, even if it was entertaining. Some woman over on says about the movie that there was way too much gunfire, for God's sake, she's so incredibly rude...

The concept for this movie—where a single tank rolls through the countryside, picking off German tanks one by one before eventually wiping out an entire elite SS unit in the finale... well, it just doesn't sit right with me if the goal is to make a serious war drama. I certainly don't have anything against movies that lean into that kind of spectacle, but those films aren't typically aiming for "prestige" from the jump.

Saving Private Ryan works as a solid war film because every scene feels grounded in reality; you don't see Tom Hanks storming the beaches of Normandy and personally clearing out ten different bunkers on his own... though I did manage something similar back in the day while playing Medal of Honor ☕...

So, Interstellar is finally arriving... plenty of users from the movie forums have already sharpened their knives. They'll head to the cinema just to meticulously log every tiny detail they deem illogical in their notes, all so they can tear the film apart online and feel superior... 🙂

You’re right about that final scene, though—since the whole thing is set in April '45, you wouldn't be seeing massive columns of German tanks rolling through the fields anyway.
The ending just feels totally out of place stylistically compared to the rest of the movie; it tries way too hard to force this epic scale that isn't there, whereas the first half actually stays grounded and realistic.
