Walter Grant5 said:People always use that excuse to deny anything. "If that's true, then why didn't..." It's the classic alibi. Total relativism used to dodge accountability.

Look at this case—they managed to flip 15 signatures in favor of the party that was supposedly out of the running. In an instant.

Yeah, how's it going.

If you want to be honest, hardworking, and sincere, you won't even make it onto a local school board, let alone join the federal government. The Democratic Party regularly ignores every single promise they made four years ago. Half the cabinet has to step down because of scandals, corruption, or just pure incompetence. Now, they’ve completely flipped their campaign rhetoric, and honestly, we all get it. We just say "politics is a dirty business" and move on. And don't even get me started on the Republican Party and their leadership.

But when it comes to Bridge, there’s this unprecedented hysteria. They aren't allowed to play the game. They can't calculate, they can't promise one thing and do another, or engage in the same political maneuvering that everyone has been doing for the last 10,000 years. People are lighting torches because they feel their future was destroyed. For nearly two months now, they've been getting attacked from every angle—called thieves and frauds. But that's just what we hear publicly. I can only imagine the kind of blackmail, extortion, or threats they might have faced privately from career politicians for whom holding power is quite literally a matter of life and death.

This is the classic playbook used by the ruling elites to keep us feeling helpless, disillusioned, and resigned. They want us to believe everything is terrible, nothing can change, and we're just drifting in a freefall.

No politician succeeds by being upright and honest. It’s all lies and deception. Maybe Bridge had good intentions, but you just can't play fair with those types.

It’s pretty simple. If they actually want to be what they claimed to be, they can't go pulling moves that contradict their whole brand. If they do, they're gonna end up exactly where they are right now. But hey, if they want to act just like everyone else, then sure, they can do all the same crap everybody else does.

Bojan Đorđić 🙏

Honestly, someone really ought to have dug him up years ago.

I happened to stumble upon a little article about him the other day—which was quite a surprise, really—but before that, I hadn't heard a single word about him in ages!

It’s not that there aren't any positives; for instance, the Democratic Party won't be in power

It is what it is. We’ve got Tihomir on board, and honestly, all we need now is Zvonimir to make this whole thing a complete circus.
Regardless, I hope the new administration manages to pull off a decent four years. Though, if I'm being real, I don't see much chance for any actual, heavy-duty reform under this version of the Republican Party—especially when it comes to fixing local government, the judicial system, or education. My fear is that the Libertarian Party will just get chewed up and swallowed whole, leaving them totally irrelevant even in their own backyard by the next local election cycle.

Personally, I’m sitting this one out too. I won't be heading to the polls for the next 10 or 15 years. It’s pretty obvious there’s never going to be a "third way" here in America, so why bother wasting the effort?...

If we actually go and elect Boris Mikšić as president, we might as well just start renting out our lives for pennies 🙏 🙏

Just dig into the wound and then be a pal and pour some salt on it once you're done scavenging.
My wife just reminded me that the last time we actually showed up at the polls, we voted for that absolute clown. 🙈 🐔
Jebaj it. We don't follow politics, we couldn't care less about the economy, and we pretend we don't care about things like identity politics, religious education in schools, Auschwitz, or Bleiburg... but man, it is so easy to fall for those sweet, sugary fairy tales.

No matter how you slice it, at least Orešković actually did something with his life—unlike Milanovic and Karamarko. Though, honestly, I’ve got my doubts since he’s basically jumping from one sinking ship straight onto a donkey hooked up to a ventilator...
The only decent reasons he'd do this would be for the challenge or some weird sense of altruism.

I mean, the guy's got a solid career behind him, so why jump into this mess? Who knows, really.

👍

I view the role of the Libertarian Party as a sort of wedge jammed into the gears—something meant to temporarily stall the well-oiled machine.
The question remains: who here is actually being honest? Is it the left-wing faction that screamed about clerical-fascism? Or the right-wingers who, until recently, were bashing boza for being sold out to communists? Or perhaps certain religious leaders who openly attacked Petrov through the media and even during mass, leaving him with no choice but to step down?
In the end, all three sides are backed into a corner, and the Libertarians have pulled a "wild card" that they now have to play.
The current position of the Libertarians doesn't allow for a French Revolution style uprising; instead, they must continue the "pest control" that will slowly sweep up "associates" like the Republican Party loyalists, Bandics, and the rest. Of course, nobody falls without taking a shot first.

Look, he might have good intentions, but the real question is—does he even realize what he's getting himself into? Does he actually grasp the political landscape, the environment, and most importantly... how much actual autonomy will he even have once he's sitting in the Oval Office?
The chances of seeing any real social progress under those conditions are basically zero, no matter how impressive his corporate track record might be.
