A rare moment of sanity.

And honestly? It really is one of those cornerstones.

And what on earth does that have to do with religious education?

I'm just asking these questions so nobody accidentally votes for Đapić because they didn't wrap their head around the prosperity terminology

They seem to want it all—democracy and pluralism on one hand, yet a unified nation and total collectivism on the other 🤣

Is Babić putting together a relay race or some kind of campaign? Like a 4x400m sprint or something.🙏

And honestly, he could probably land a spot at Real Madrid just to chase everyone else down. Think Makélélé style. 🙏

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović holding that notebook, looking for all the world like she’s handing out handouts at the Strazar Tower.

Just to trigger you.

Zoki dropped a total truth bomb there—he’d probably claim he just discovered the private sector himself. Such a shame he’s such a late bloomer. 🙏

It started off strong, but it eventually just lost its momentum and felt a bit watered down.

Highlights:
Yogurt
Sober Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović

These attacks from this group of women against Mirko Škoro
These attacks from this crowd of women against Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović

And that would be about it, along with a few other minor flourishes.

A small pond, but plenty of crocodiles.

I guess I'm not quite sure who to vote for yet, and honestly, I might skip the second round altogether because I'd much rather be out skiing. From what I've been reading, maybe Mirko Škoro didn't have the best performance, and most of the minor candidates seem to be doing little more than barking. With all these scandals and blunders, I suspect Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović might just outlast them with those overly academic, clinical answers of hers. It’s been an interesting show so far. It looks like it'll be Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović or Zoran Milanović in the runoff, and anything could happen there.

I honestly can't believe someone like Pejovićka actually exists today. It’s creepy, man. Seriously. 😲

All in all, aside from a few times Juričan totally lost the plot, this whole confrontation has been pretty dull.

What’s the actual issue here—is it the ideas themselves, or just the way they manifest?

I honestly welcome any attempt to build a coherent economic left wing—not because I expect anyone to actually win an election, since that isn't happening (nor should it), but simply so these perspectives can exist in the public square. We need a counterweight to the hyper-right-wing economic theories that are currently trendy and sound so appealing, especially to younger generations who feel like social solidarity is nothing more than a drain on their wallets (particularly given the disastrous state of our country lately).

Of course, I am talking about a left wing that is actually adapted to today's reality, rather than one stuck in the 19th or 20th centuries. We need advocacy for genuine equal opportunity (rather than equal outcomes), limits on corporatocracy, environmental protection, and a critique of the losers created by globalization. Someone needs to keep in mind the people who won't have advanced degrees, those who won't be able to swap employers like socks through freelance gigs, those unable to work for some firm in Hong Kong from the comfort of their living rooms, and those who lack either the skill or the drive to run their own businesses. These people are the backbone of society, and their future looks incredibly bleak in this unstable world we are heading toward.

Were you guys actually worried about having a live stream debate? 🤦

The only thing worth noting was Đapić's total inability to stand still for more than two minutes.

Yeah, ☕

It was actually a good move that Katarina Peović shut down all that nonsense about Josip Broz Marshall and America right out of the gate, choosing instead to focus her campaign on issues relevant to the US today. I highly doubt she'll make much of a dent in the polls, but it's refreshing to see left-wing economic ideas enter the political arena without immediately pivoting into a circular argument about Nazis and partisans.

Honestly, Đapić looks like he's lost weight. It almost looks like he might be ill.

Just walk me through how you concluded she’s trying to form a coherent economic left wing. Based on which specific answer from tonight? The fact that she’s proud to be an Antifascist (even if she probably wasn't even born yet?), or when she brought up what Skoro said about Mercepa, which clearly shows she's totally bogged down in leftist political maneuvering.

Because around here, you can't claim to be an economic leftist while still loving this country without being labeled a Yugo-nostalgic.
So, please, enlighten me—what part of her debate actually won you over? I mean, that "economic program" you keep mentioning. Since I didn't see it myself, and you've been grinding for days trying to prove how much of a leftist you are... fine, we get it, you've made your point. 😍 Try to keep it simple next time, because if you don't back up your post with actual arguments, you're just going to lose whatever credibility you had left after cheering for Real Madrid. ☕

I mean, anyone under 75 was actually born during the era of antifascism.😳

Honestly, I’d love to see some actual, hardcore communists running the show for once, just so these people calling themselves the "right wing" could finally realize how truly messed up they actually are.
I’m talking about an economic plan where the government stops micromanaging every little thing and handing out jobs like party favors to their buddies, though even then, I wouldn't hold my breath because it feels pretty much hopeless.

The real kicker here is that we don't have any legitimate competition or a functioning free market to speak of, since every single job is basically handed out on a silver platter to the right people.

So, if you ask me, from a purely economic standpoint, we need to go right, but socially? We definitely need to lean left.
