Alright, let’s switch gears. I honestly don't get why sports aren't moving forward... at least finish what was started.
I mean, they can just disinfect the stadiums and all the facilities. Players could easily train while staying in quarantine right there on-site. Most of them probably have a hotel nearby anyway. They could just play through it.

If most employers are basically forcing people back to work if they're healthy, how are athletes any different? Fine, isolate the sick ones—once they recover, they can rejoin the group. It's no different than handling injuries or any other illness. Just put them in quarantine so they don't have contact with the outside world, and that's that.

Besides, everyone is already locked down in their own villas 24/7 without seeing anyone.

Run it like that for two months, wrap up the season, and then implement a rule where clubs aren't obligated to pay full salaries during a lockdown—just a percentage. That's what pretty much every company in the world does.

Instead, I'm reading about some club offering a pay cut while things are paused, the players refuse, the club fires them, and now the players are suing for their wages. Give me a break...

Paul Martinez73 said:Hey Group, someone needs to tell her that this isn't even a big deal; honestly, the flu is way more dangerous and half these numbers are probably exaggerated anyway. It’s not unheard of for flu season to pack hospitals so tight you literally run out of beds and have to just let people pass away... total unnecessary panic ☕

The plague killed half of Europe.

There. Explained.

If a different strain of the flu hits than what the medical experts predicted, then the vaccine doesn't help at all, I guess.

So you have seasons where you get vaccinated and it does nothing for you. I don't see this level of panic or hysteria, nor do I see people counting the dead.

But that's basically what Plazo said—that if we had called this disease "flu" instead of Covid19, even if it was just a different type of flu, nobody would care.

That's exactly my point.

Why not just reach out to the WHO and explain things to them? Tell them they haven't got a clue. Send a note to the folks shutting down production at places like Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and the rest, telling them there's no need to worry because the Pope said nothing will happen. Tell them it's just "Flu v2," and if they weren't shutting down then, they shouldn't be doing it now.

Or just shoot an email to Merkel; tell her that while they're basically grinding the economy to a halt, you know better than they do. Tell her they're just panic-mongers. After all, the Pope about virus has more info than Merkel does.

By the way, the way they're ramping up these restrictions in an area like Chicago is pretty symptomatic of what's coming. There are maybe 50-60 cases, yet they're setting up massive containment zones for at least 500 people, not to mention hospital capacities. It looks like we're bracing for a total disaster...

Just pure frustration...
A friend of mine, a doctor over at University Hospital, told me that we’ve actually seen more fatalities recently because people aren't getting the proper treatment or surgeries they need, all thanks to the sheer panic surrounding Covid.

There's an article suggesting that in Italy, 99 percent of deaths were tied to at least one other underlying diagnosis, where the average age was 80 and was essentially neglected.
All anyone does is quote these apocalyptic numbers and treat people like cattle.

I honestly doubt we'll even hit that 16k mark in Italy, which is what you'd normally see for a standard flu season.
That's assuming they are only counting direct deaths and hospitalizations from the flu, rather than those who had three other conditions and the flu just accelerated their passing. Just like they did with Covid.

The case of that 21-year-old athlete from Spain a few days ago is the perfect example of how panic spreads and how the media reports on how fear is growing among the public.

Why not take this time to actually uncover some hidden talent? You could create something just for the hell of it—drawing, playing music, experimenting with a new recipe, or just getting lost in fresh ideas. Instead, people seem to flee from boredom by mindlessly consuming everyone else's knowledge and experiences. 🤔

I’m talking about all these endless series and movie recommendations flooding the feed lately.

Yeah, because the WHO was so spot on with bird flu, right? I'll definitely take their word for it. Sure.

I suppose the progression will just be hitting 500 cases, or even more. I don't see an issue with that part.

The real issue is the impression that only 5% will survive while 95% of people die.

Of course, every authority wants to justify these "measures."

Now everyone is just living in fear.

But in a few weeks—once they realize this is an old person's disease and they finally snap from the stress at home—I expect parks, riverfronts, and beaches to be swarming with police trying to force people to comply.

Especially here in the States.

Every single day, some person pops up online with a brand-new "catastrophic" update. It’s getting old. In China, they haven't seen a single new infection for two days straight. They actually had 30 cases arrive from abroad, but those people were put into quarantine immediately. We're talking about a country with over a billion people here. Domestic cases? Zero.

If you take the right precautions and let the system do its job, things will settle down in a month or two. Honestly, we just need less of this garbage being posted all over the internet.

They’re out here demonizing anyone who dares to actually step outside and breathe the fresh air, even though every single healthcare professional is telling us it’s perfectly fine to do so.
But no, why bother? Just stay cooped up at home. Lock yourself away, rot in front of the news on CNN or Fox News, and spend your days hoarding germs, flour, and toilet paper...

It isn't just about the death toll; people who deal with more severe cases end up with permanent lung damage.
In the USA, 40% of ICU patients are under 55, and 30% fall somewhere between 20 and 44.

The USA is going to hit rock bottom, and honestly, it’s because they’re just plain foolish. You don't even have to look far to see it. Just open up Twitter and watch all those self-proclaimed geniuses on ESPN giving their "expert" takes straight to the cameras. 🤣

Myth.

Lung capacity might drop by 20% or 30%, but you can get that back through exercise and training.

It's a standard recovery process. They just conveniently leave out the second half.

Your lung capacity might drop "permanently" just from being sedentary.

But that permanent drop stays permanent only until you get back out there and start moving or playing sports again.

Did you actually sit through the whole thing, or did you just watch the trailer like I did?

Judging by what I’m seeing on American Twitter, people are mostly just making fun of it, though apparently, fans of English football are actually quite thrilled.🤷

I’m just... I don't know, I'm just hoping the match scenes won't look like some cheesy soap opera. Word is they hired some soccer choreographer who usually does commercials for Nike or Adidas, so, yeah. Who knows.

Well, every single bout of the flu inevitably reduces your lung capacity,
just like any instance of pneumonia that leaves permanent scarring on the lungs.
Nothing particularly new or revolutionary to report here...

I honestly can’t wait for this whole circus to finally wrap up—just so we can see the actual death toll and infection numbers come in at maybe a tenth of what all these professional alarmists predicted. It'll be hilarious watching them deal with the fallout of their own manufactured hysteria once reality hits.

So, I spotted this absolute clown on Facebook—probably some doctor or something—posting these wild calculations claiming that 11% of the population in the US is going to die. 🤦
She actually went back and tried to scrub some of the most ridiculous parts of her post afterward. Typical.
