Just a tiny little device, kind of like those things people use to check their blood sugar, every single household should just have one sitting around, so everyone can test themselves every morning and we could honestly wipe out Corona in no time at all.
I mean, seriously, look at how the Chinese handled it, they took an entire car factory and flipped it into a massive mask production plant almost overnight, cranking out 5 million pieces a day, and honestly, anyone who manages to start mass-producing stuff on that scale within six months is going to end up way richer than Jeff Bezos.

If I'm not mistaken, the incubation period lasts quite a while, so someone could be infected without developing the antibodies this test would detect. Still, it's a great tool for detection once symptoms actually show up. Assuming, of course, it becomes widely available and stays relatively cheap. I have my doubts about that part, though...

Wait a second, if people are testing positive while they're already in self-isolation, then what was even the point? Why were those twins stuck in quarantine in the first place? 🤔

I don't get this either.

They act like they're made of wood and stone, yet they let them go as positive cases.

A total Corona party.

Look, there are only 39 people in the hospital right now—at least that’s what was reported yesterday, though maybe that number bumped up today. Those are the critical ones, you know, the folks who are actually struggling. As for the twins, they were the first ones through the door, so... 😁

Given they're 70 years old, wouldn't you say they fall into a high-risk group? 🤷

Well, they absolutely should be. It finally clicked for me yesterday that not everyone is stuck in hospitals; it’s probably just the ones whose condition takes a turn for the worse.

Michelle Palmer6, I've heard some inside info suggesting many doctors at Firule are acting completely reckless as soon as a patient arrives for treatment, all out of fear they might have Corona... Is that actually possible? I thought they were all supposed to be American heroes... 🤔

I remember back when the whole self-isolation thing kicked off in Italy, an accountant caught a flu or a cold or something, and she sent her daughter to the doctor to see if they could just prescribe the same antibiotics since it happens every single year.

The daughter gets there, walks in, the nurse cracks the door open and tells them they aren't seeing any patients right now, and since they can't just write a prescription for someone unknown, the whole family basically has to go into quarantine. 🤣🤣

Does anyone know what kind of measures they're taking abroad to handle this situation? I heard that in Austria, employers have the right to send their staff to the unemployment office, which then pays out about 80% of their salary... though I'm not sure who handles the benefits and all that else. 🤷

It’s similar in Germany, except you only get 60% of your pay. From what I gathered from our news portals, they also provided one-time aid to companies with up to 250 employees—amounts reaching something like €30,000. That was the first relief package, if I caught that correctly.

Are there any other incentives or similar things happening in neighboring countries? Apparently, in Germany, you either stayed employed—meaning the company would take you back as soon as an opening popped up—and received 60%, or you went on unemployment and got 70% while searching for work on your own.

Listen, they’re trying their best to keep Firule Corona-free, so they're scrutinizing everyone with ten eyes. They won't be able to stay ahead of it forever just by watching for every possible symptom, but hey, every successful day counts. Triage for emergency admissions is happening in a tent right outside the hospital, so anything even remotely suspicious gets sent straight over to Križin.
Sure, some people might find it overkill and think it causes more panic, but honestly, in this situation, being extra cautious is way better than having a laid-back attitude.

Fear is a natural human response right now, and even some doctors aren't immune to it. That much is clear.
But I wanted to ask you this: from what I understand—correct me if I'm wrong—only a fraction of those who test positive for COVID-19 actually end up in the hospital. It's mostly the high-risk groups or those with severe symptoms. A huge number of people are just sent home to self-isolate. If someone is infected and isolating in an apartment with family, isn't there a massive chance the others will catch it regardless of how careful they are? Meanwhile, those housemates are going out, hitting grocery stores, pharmacies, or heading to work... not to mention the people who simply don't care about isolation orders even after testing positive. Looking at all these measures against the virus, it feels like trying to plug four small holes in a ship while water is gushing in through the hull...

What I'm getting at is, in an environment inhabited by a group like our North American tribe, unless we can ensure every single confirmed case is placed in actual medical isolation, this whole fight against Corona feels pretty ineffective and somewhat futile...

The idea that people confirmed to be infected are just walking around freely is the absolute rock bottom of human behavior. It’s a failure for them personally, and an absolute disgrace for the entire system. You really just want to toss the whole thing overboard immediately.

And then there's this point Joseph Clark37 is making.
