Suppose you're out in the backyard doing a BBQ, and suddenly you see something flashing right above you... you're just going to grab your phone, snap a quick shot with the grill tongs in hand, and well, you know—the quality isn't exactly going to be cinematic.

Everyone keeps acting like he’s already out of the picture, talking about him like he’s a ghost, and they’ve been doing it for years now, but people seem to forget that he isn't just going to vanish—someone actually has to go out there and beat him at the polls.

As long as there isn't a heavyweight contender standing across from him on election day, he’s just going to keep holding onto that seat.

If Tomasevic is really the most serious challenger we have coming up in the next cycle, then honestly, you might as well just hand Ed Koch another term right now.

Maras. Gordan Maras. 😬

I wasn't even getting at that—whatever, it doesn't matter.

The French Football Federation just officially handed the title to Paris Saint-Germain for the 2019/2020 season since the government pulled the plug on all sports through September, according to The New York Times.

The Netherlands just had their entire league scrapped.
France is seeing Paris Saint-Germain take the title.
Over in Germany, the beautiful game just keeps on rolling.

That would mean the yellow and black cavalry keeps rolling right through the Champions League...

So, I’m sitting here thinking about what he said—basically claiming he’s perfectly fine with playing matches outside of France, whether they're domestic or elsewhere, right?

I honestly think they jumped the gun a bit with this decision. We’ve got plenty of time throughout June and July to finish out the season without crowds in the stands if we have to.

The number of new cases is dropping everywhere, even in the states that got hit the hardest. It would be much better if they just showed some patience and organized things the right way.

I guess some leagues might be starting to factor in how brutal the heat can get during June, July, and August, which definitely brings its own set of risks. Especially if there's a heavy schedule with a ton of games packed into just a few days.

Maybe they should just put a crucifix at the entrance of the Rose Bowl and have them play there on Sundays.

I think the government told the Frenchmen there wouldn't be a continuation.

They basically just made a decision on the champion because they had to. If the league had its way, I guess they would've played right through the summer.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

You’re making a mistake by mocking the crisis.

That might be true, though I did read somewhere that the summer schedule was an issue for one of the leagues.

They actually already have a Saint Benedict medallion, so what you're saying might be spot on. I guess Mamić really is a visionary.

Summer isn't even a real issue unless we're talking about the European Championship or the World Cup, you know? Otherwise, it's just a total headache.

I hear there might be some player protests, if you ask me.

Hopefully, they at least finish out the Champions League.
