Russia claims they hit a base where foreign volunteers were gathering. They're reporting about 180 dead, and apparently, some Americans were among them.

Does anyone happen to have a video showing a 120-kilogram explosive detonation?

I imagine an impact that massive would shake a whole stadium; half the people within a 500-meter radius probably wouldn't even hear it over the initial shockwave.

It’s just one bizarre spectacle after another.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:Pickousti starts getting twitchy if he doesn't mention America for at least two days. He was practically itching to jump in and claim that what happened to us could never happen over there, and that they’d have everything under control in five minutes flat. 🤣

It’s election season over there, and bringing up America is always a solid way to score points with their right wing—you know, those folks who constantly feel the need to act like they’re one step ahead of us in everything.
Honestly, their military is an even bigger circus than ours. Just look at their last two Secretaries of Defense... total clowns. To them, Banožić is some kind of intellectual titan.

What do you mean, 120 pounds?
If 120 pounds had actually gone off, we’d be looking at a massive crater, not just some three-foot hole.

Where exactly did this figure regarding 120kg of explosives originate? Is this an official statement released by the authorities, or are we merely looking at speculative guesswork?

We're talking about a 270-pound bomb here. But you have to remember, not all bombs are created equal, and they don't all pack the same amount of explosive weight inside...

It’s happening again. The impact site was barely 60 feet from the first building on the block, just a stone's throw away.

If that thing had actually detonated, the whole neighborhood would have been leveled. You look at those local coffee shops nearby—even that diner right next to Rock is only about 20 meters out, and they’ve got all their windows shattered on the east side. Yet, strangely enough, the windshields on the cars parked just a few feet from the blast zone didn't even crack.

I suppose anything is possible, I guess.

https://unsaferguard.org/un-safergua...on-danger-area

The danger zone regarding fragmenting munitions when there's potential for public access to the demolition range is roughly 1,400 meters.

If we're talking about bare, exposed explosives? You're looking at 642 meters.

And just to give you an idea—that 265-pound charge managed to blast out a crater three meters deep.

Great analysis
Especially regarding Eastern and Southern Ukraine

It’s just bizarre—seeing how folks in places like Kherson, for instance, end up talking to Russian soldiers or protesting just to beg for food and a way home.
Honestly, it's completely incomprehensible given our own experiences here in the States

If I were in the driver's seat of the US government, I'd deploy two or three divisions to Poland. I'd take about a dozen of our most advanced drones, paint them in Ukrainian colors, and run 24/7 missions over Ukraine. I'd station two squadrons of F-22s along the border between Romania and Ukraine, equipped with AIM-260s, using AWACS to spot Russian aircraft and taking them down whenever the opportunity arises. I would simply dismiss every Russian accusation as pure fiction and wait for their next move...

Go ahead, tell me what your favorites would actually do. Would those supposedly invincible, infallible S-400s just solve everything?...

And you honestly think the Russians wouldn't have a clue what you were doing?
Do you really think they’d just sit there peacefully while you pick off their planes from Romanian airspace?
I highly doubt your denials would mean much to them.

Of course they would notice if we started taking down their aircraft like flies, especially if ground forces started losing high-value assets at an even higher rate than before. What do you think Putin would do then? Would he just immediately drop nukes and commit suicide for the entire Russian state and its people? Not a chance...

What exactly would they do about it?

The Secretary looks sharp in some kind of formal uniform.
It gives off the impression of a serious government and a stable nation—truly reassuring.
I’m going to head to bed feeling at peace.

If the Chinese decide to jump in and back the Russians, then honestly? It’s time to start building a damn good wall. We can have our side out here in the West, they can have theirs over in the East, and we can all just go our separate ways and enjoy the peace.
