Run a Super Pi 1m, not this...
Come on, post some photos so we can actually see it....

Honestly, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to things like Super Pi or 3DMark—to be frank, I don't even care much for them—so... someone please point me in the right direction...😁

When you run Super Pi, just crush that 1M test. Start with 16K, then move to 32K... eventually you hit the 1M and let it rip...🙂
That's basically all you need to do. 😁
Also, grab a CPU-Z screenshot and open CoreTemp to check those temperatures...😉

I am genuinely curious to see where things land... what kind of timing are we actually looking at here? 🙂

By the way, Mike, I have to ask—where on earth did you manage to track down a Typhoon in the first place? It’s quite the mystery!

I mean, I definitely know what that is 🙂 but I’m just dying to know why on earth he picked that specific one... honestly, for that kind of money, he could have easily grabbed an actual Typhoon 🙂

You can see how little is even in his case, but I have no idea how wide a chassis needs to be to fit a Big Typhoon or a Sears Tower...😕

Does he really need a side panel that much? I mean, there are plenty of other coolers out there that take up way less space and actually perform better... but hey, to each his own, I guess...

And they’re cheaper, too...😉

Hey! So, did I make a mistake here??
The guy over at Ve-Mil told me this was the best bang for my buck—best value by far!
Just to brag a little—I managed to push the proc to 4015.2 MHz (actually hit 4146 MHz once, too), but it stays stable at 4015.2 MHz... (that's 414.6 x 10)... temps are sitting right between 54 and 57 degrees! Haven't pushed it any further yet.
That OC is actually pretty interesting...
Heading into work now—I'll catch you guys later... peace!

Well, I just couldn't help myself—I had to run Super Pi (just like Steve suggested using Pi 1m) and I clocked in at 12.348s... I'll post a screenshot later!
By the way, regarding the cooling issues... it isn't actually a case problem—it’s just that my desk is too cramped... anyway, I've gotta run... catch you later...

Regarding those temperature issues, though... it turns out it isn't actually an issue with the case itself... my desk is just way too cramped for proper airflow... anyway... I've gotta run now... catch you later...

That is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!! Such a killer score👍

northerncrane33 As if I haven't heard this before...
So, you're sitting there with a GTS running on 340MB... I guess that’s one way to do things, though I'm not entirely sure how you expect that to hold up under any real pressure. Maybe it works for you, but it seems a bit thin to me.😂
Everything seems perfectly fine until you realize the temperature has climbed north of 140°F...

I mean, seriously... why? 😕
I suppose someone's feeling particularly edgy today. Typical. 😂

How much overclocking headroom am I actually looking at with a Pentium D 2.66 GHz if I’m running a stock power supply alongside an ASUS P5LD2?

You mean with a stock cooler???
Nobody knows how much your CPU can actually take. Just try it. I assume you know how to pop a processor out of a socket without breaking it...
By the way, I hit 3400MHz on an E4400 👍 at 1.45V 😉

You could probably even bump him up to 1.55V—so does that mean he isn't hitting the 325 FSB limit after all?! 🙂

wiredmarlin5 said:So you can just throw 1.55V at it? Does that mean 325 FSB isn't even the limit? 🙂

I tried a 9x multiplier and hit 370MHz...
I'll stick to 1.45V so the voltage doesn't screw me over.
And Super PI 17,391 with 😎

So, if we're talking strictly theoretical limits, he could probably push it up to 3700MHz... maybe even hit about 1.7V if he's running a solid water cooling setup 🙂🙂

Personally, I managed to get my Curio running at 1.67V just using an air cooler😲
