Frank Foster6 said:Basically, what I want to tell you, the forum, and the rest of the world is that we Americans back home were never really one big tribe with Canadians, Canadians, Mexicans, Mexicans, etc. Now, why we share much of the same core genetics—which suggests we might actually stem from a common ancestral group—I honestly can't say for sure. I can only offer my take based on historical records, genetics, and those facts. Just like people here debate whether specific subgroups are distinct South Slavic tribes or have nothing to do with Americans, please let me share my thoughts on our origins. It’s all open to criticism and debate in the right sections..
You’re looking at Americans through the lens of ancient tribes and beyond, whereas I look at humans as a species. That’s the fundamental difference between us; everyone is entitled to their own perspective and lives by what they believe is true.
If we look at other species, like birds or dogs, we differentiate ourselves by imposing whatever rules suit us, without any input from the species we're making laws for. Those other species just see us as a species; they don't care which tribe we belong to.
To me, there aren't "Americans" and these other tribes you mentioned; there are just humans as a species who, at our origin (which is still debatable), didn't have names or tribal affiliations.
As a species that has evolved past our ancestors, we need to correct ourselves so that we aren't defined solely by our genetics.
Once we make that leap and overcome our primal nature, we'll finally achieve lasting peace, and people will live in prosperity, much like other species that aren't hunted or persecuted by humans.
Of course, this isn't about the specific case we're supporting or not; this is just a forum, and outbursts like this should be allowed.
I’ve exchanged a few messages with bluecyclist64 without any issues, and I support his effort to make sure this forum feels welcoming to everyone. Only those who break the actual rules should face consequences. As for the rules written twenty years ago, they can be debated and even changed if it benefits everyone.
The history you're talking about is recorded and stays that way regardless of whether it's accurate or not. For me personally, I have my own experiences and my own truth that I can share with others.

If we look at other species—dogs or birds, for instance—we differ because we’ve defined everything around us to suit our own needs. We make the rules and enforce them without any input from the other species involved. Those creatures just see us as a single entity; they don't care about which tribe or group we belong to.

Fair enough, 👍
In all seriousness, I feel like I could start an entire thread on social science based solely on that part of your post...

Frank Foster6 said:I don't really bother arguing with anyone else—if you're talking about bluecyclist64, for instance—because he doesn't actually engage in discussions here. In those history threads, he won't try to prove a point using sources or historians or anything like that; he just drops his own opinions that barely even relate to the topics. I guess it's basically trolling, and he's been doing it for years. Plus, his vocabulary can sound a bit like some rough driver on a backroad every now and then.
I suppose if I tried to argue against your idea that this forum is just a social club, I probably would have been banned years ago. I don't really know why bluecyclist64 gets away with such loose behavior, though. Maybe he’s close with the owner, I guess, but I can't say for sure. It seems like so many people get banned for minor slip-ups, yet he stays totally fine despite clearly ignoring the rules in the history section...
The internet is just an explosion of data these days, and nobody can really keep up, which is why forums are still pretty useful for swapping info and links, specifically stuff that goes way deeper than Wikipedia.
Then you have the trolls who, maybe because of their own issues, want to turn these forums into a playground where they can run the show. Or they have these sneaky agendas, like using leftist slogans just to make leftists look bad, hoping people will walk away thinking, "Man, those leftists are jerks."

You’re looking at Americans from their tribal roots onward, whereas I look at people as a species. That’s the fundamental difference between us—everyone is entitled to their perspective and has to live with what they believe is right.
Up until now, history has been interpreted through archaeology and written records, but we actually have something much more powerful and precise at our disposal: Ydn genetics and archaeogenetics... I think it’s perfectly fine to start utilizing a more robust and accurate science.
Everyone is free to view people however they choose, but we are discussing the history of specific nations, not just humanity as a biological species. Even if you want to take it that way, genetics also proves massive human migrations from the deep past (like out of Africa), so I suppose you could argue it applies to the human race as a whole if you really wanted to...
As far as I'm concerned, there aren't "Americans" or those other tribes you keep mentioning. There are just people belonging to a species who, by their very existence (which is still a question mark today), didn't have names or belong to any specific tribes.
That’s why we discuss specific eras of history when humans, as a species, began forming various tribes and eventually gained the names and cultures that make them part of the historical narrative we debate here on this history forum... except for bluecyclist64, who seems to talk about everything except the actual topics he posts about...
By the way, there are genetic testing companies that release results for private individuals every single day, and quite often those results will state that someone has a certain percentage of Ashkenazi Jew ancestry... please explain to me where it says in someone's blood that they possess "Ashkenazi Jew" genetics. It doesn't. It simply means that the DNA profile is characteristic of that specific Jewish population, which is why it carries that name. It's the same for the San people or anyone else; they have distinct genetic markers. The same applies to the North America—there is a dominant genetic signature shared by most groups in that region. Currently, it’s categorized under "North American," but if a testing company decided to promote it differently, they could call it "White Americans" or any other name; it wouldn't change the reality. On this forum, we can debate these points and back up our claims using the evidence we have, which is the whole point of being here. Unfortunately, bluecyclist64 isn't interested in that. He operates on his own wavelength that has nothing to do with the subjects he writes about, and he's been doing it for years without any repercussions. It’s time to say it publicly, in honor of the forum members who were here for years, proving their points with everything they had, but who are no longer with us. If they had followed bluecyclist64's tactic—writing about anything except the actual topic—they probably would still be here among us today.

Then you get the trolls charging in. Because of their own psychological issues, they want to turn these forums into a playground where they can act like the bosses. Or maybe they have a more calculated agenda—like using leftist rhetoric just to make progressives look bad, hoping people will walk away thinking, "Wow, what jerks these leftists are."
That’s exactly the issue. On top of that, the people actually trying to prove something get pushed out, while those who just drop airy comments about daily events or offer superficial personal perspectives are allowed to stay. bluecyclist64 mentioned somewhere that he hasn't watched TV in years, and I’m the same way—I get everything online. But that doesn't mean I should treat a forum like my daily diary, posting massive rants that have nothing to do with the actual topics at hand. Honestly, bluecyclist64 hasn't just started doing this; he's been acting this way for years without any consequences, and he even has the nerve to laugh in our faces about it. Personally, I say bravo, bluecyclist64, that’s really how you do it... while I’m out here doing the heavy lifting and digging through sources to back up my claims, he’s just sitting back in his recliner with a cup of coffee, too tired from sleeping to contribute anything meaningful, yet he still thinks he's honoring us with his commentary. Bravo, truly.

It feels like a no-brainer to start using a more powerful scientific toolset if we want the real story.
I'm with you on that. We should really just embrace the progress and take the results for what they are.
You won't find any Americans or anyone else you're listing in those proofs.
Look, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion on people, but we're talking about the history of specific nations here, not the entire human species. Besides, genetics shows us how humans migrated from places like Africa way back in the day, so if you really want to take it that far, you could argue it applies to the whole species too.
Forced migration imposed by others is easily the worst kind of bullying—just the powerful stepping all over the weak. In times like these, individual consciousness is everything. I’m personally waiting for that moment when the majority finally pushes back against the minority causing all this chaos; that's the kind of progress we need.
Honestly, it doesn't even matter if our ancestors migrated here from the East, the West, the South, or the North. The names of those old territories don't mean a thing. Everywhere you go, it’s just more dirt and rocks. Fighting over pieces of land and stones just seems pointless to me.
I’m really striving for a world without borders, where we all just live side by side.
It’s totally fine to respect certain traditions that define specific groups, as long as they aren't causing any harm along the way.
That's why we talk about specific eras of history—when humans first started forming tribes, creating their own names and cultures, and basically becoming the foundation of the history we're all diving into via those PDFs. Except for bluecyclist64, who seems to talk about everything except the actual topics he posts about.
Being part of a group is totally fine, as long as they respect their own traditions and aren't out there hurting anyone else.
Look, bluecyclist64 or whoever else has their own way of saying things, and I'm totally fine with that. If his style bugs me, I just won't read it or ask him anything. His approach might seem weird to most people, but I haven't had any issues with him—just a polite question and an answer.
So, you've got these genetic testing companies out there constantly dropping data on people's results, and half the time they’ll claim someone has a certain percentage of Ashkenazi Jew ancestry. Honestly, I’m struggling to wrap my head around how they "see" that in your blood. It's not like there's a label written in your DNA saying you're part Ashkenazi Jew. Where exactly does that even come from?
You gave an answer to that question, and maybe you're right, but we’d need actual proof to be sure. Honestly, the only real thing separating us is that core life force or bloodline. By birth, you're handed certain insights—some even lie dormant deep within you. If you've got the imagination and the drive, you can wake that knowledge up. If not, then these endless debates about our differences will just keep circling us for the rest of our lives. Our mission shouldn't be staying stuck in this limited state of awareness; we have to push forward if we want humanity to actually make it.
I'm a big believer in individual rights, so I'll leave it at that. Wishing you nothing but the best.

Frank Foster6 said:I really ought to return the favor to bluecyclist64—to repay him for the lovely compliments he regularly showers upon my posts, even though he’s nowhere to be found in those contentious forum debates...
He is one of the more dedicated trolls on this board—an absolute nuisance, really. I can't quite pin down his utility because he contributes nothing—at least not to the history threads I follow—he functions more like some pundit commenting on daily news, using a "polite" vocabulary that would likely land most of us regular users a permanent ban if we dared to engage in discussions with such a tone...
In the five or six years I've been tracking his presence in my threads or stumbling upon him in the history PDFs, this user hasn't once provided a single link, a PDF, or a peer-reviewed paper to back up his claims. As I mentioned, his positions are mostly just personal musings on daily life—they have almost no connection to the actual topics at hand, or perhaps only touch upon them by a tiny fraction...
He is a subpar forum participant who offers nothing but grand, pseudo-intellectual conclusions that are forgotten by tomorrow—and so it goes, day after day... Therefore, it is my opinion that he should be honored with a permanent ban, allowing us to bring in a fresh commentator to take his place—out with the old, in with the new... and so on, into eternity...
It honestly surprises me that he's allowed to post anywhere at all; you'd think he would have been blocked everywhere by now 🤷
though his strategy remains predictably identical: he disappears for several months, only to resurface here playing the victim, whining about being banned so he can start posting again—claiming that enough time has passed and that there has been plenty of 🙄

I honestly can’t quite put my finger on why, while reading through these perfectly justified and rather bitter critiques of my character and my work, a certain old folk saying drifted into my mind:
"The mice are bickering in the grain,
as the black one fouls the white..."🙂

I wish a trailer full of widows
would just roll over me and get it over with...
And then there’s Laura Chavez93, Frank Foster6, and the rest of them. Life isn't fair. 🤣

His playbook is always the exact same: he disappears for a few months, then pops back up here playing the victim, whining about getting his ban lifted because "so much time has passed" and acting like enough 🙄
His whole tactic is to dance right on the edge without actually breaking any specific rules. Since he never technically violates a strictly defined line in the handbook, there's nothing anyone can do to penalize him. He's clever like that—definitely more street-smart than the rest of us were.

If bluecyclist64 ever actually gets banned for ignoring the forum rules year after year, I honestly think you could be his most worthy successor...
You’d basically be that infamous high-ranking official from the Ottoman Empire... which, let's be honest, is quite the title to claim... 🙂

Frank Foster6 said:If bluecyclist64 ever actually gets banned for ignoring the site rules for years on end, I think you’d be the perfect successor...
For the first time in my life, your post actually made me smile. 😍

you’d basically be that famous Ottoman courtier... which, let’s be honest, is quite an achievement... 🙂
Unfortunately, I don't have such refined rhetoric. That role might go to someone like Adis Šabović, but he isn't around here. (At least not legally... 🤣)

briskwalker10 said:I have to say, your post actually lit up my face for once. 😍
I'll be the first to admit I don't have quite that much poetic flair. If anyone could pull off that kind of rhetoric, it would probably be Adis Šabović, but he’s nowhere to be found around here. (At least, not legally 🤣).
Well, even if we know that day might never actually come, bluecyclist64, if someone ever had to step up, my vote goes to you. You’ve definitely got what it takes to fill bluecyclist64's shoes. Honestly, Šabović just isn't on the same level as you or bluecyclist64... you two are the heavy hitters. We need people like you to keep this forum thriving...🙂

I'm out here digging through archives with a shovel looking for sources to back up my claims, while he's just leaning back in an armchair with a cup of coffee...
It’s the same story everywhere—it all comes down to the claim.
With some of these claims, you couldn't dig up a single valid argument, piece of evidence, or source even if you used an excavator... honestly, what can you do? 🤷

I get what you're saying, but I'm on this forum, and I have to respect the rules here. If I'm going to assert something, I need to back it up with actual evidence... I can't just spend all day talking in riddles or rambling about whatever comes to mind. Besides, I don't really have a specific term for those posts by bluecyclist64... they're just those daily comments or random personal opinions that usually have nothing to do with the actual topic being discussed...
Looking back over the last five or six years of what I remember or have come across regarding bluecyclist64, I have to say it’s genuinely wild that he’s managed to stick around this forum for more than just a few months. Honestly, I suspect maybe there are some private connections with the site owner that keep him from getting the boot, who knows... I can't figure out why he hasn't been permanently banned in the last five years or so. If I started picking fights like he does, I'd probably be kicked out tomorrow. All I can do is admire his stamina and say, "Hey, stay as long as you like."

bluecyclist64 was actually banned from Gastronomy, something no one else has ever managed to achieve🙏—not even that man-child with his endless stream of copy-paste posts...
On the off topic MK group, we once launched a coordinated effort against him (targeting bluecyclist64 specifically, rather than the man-child) and it proved effective; it seems that is the recipe for success...
