this case is 30x30cm
but the board itself is 27cm high and I think the width is about 24...

A Pentium II at 633 MHz—actually pushed it up to 789 MHz!! Plus 256 MB of RAM and even an old-school modem...
Quite the machine... and don't even get me started on the case....TAKE A LOOK!!...😁😁😁😁😁😁

Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention when I read it.
I started sketching out some plans and ended up with dimensions like 14 wide, 12 deep, and 10 high.
Not sure what that would even look like.

and then the back side just gets whatever air comes off the power supply

look, I didn't really care about having a million tiny holes...
but you're gonna end up having to rip the shrouds off your GPU and other parts too
because there's no way everything's gonna line up if you try to keep the back perfectly flat...

Still haven't figured out how to deal with the rear panel, and I don't have any spare sheet metal lying around.
The case is being built out of 8mm MDF.
Looks like I'll be spending some quality time with a saw.

😁 😁 nah, I've already got three ancient relics sitting here for parts and not one of them fits the motherboard. There's just a massive gap left over.

All you did was take some parts, pull them out of their original housings, and wire them together; honestly, that's actually pretty impressive.😬

The whole point here is to modify a standard case so it doesn't just look default.
I have nothing but respect for someone who builds their own chassis from scratch, and hey, if you’ve got the cash to drop on a pre-built custom rig, more power to you. But let’s stay focused: this thread is about the modification of what you already own!!!
