Pure Chauvinism

I have a pretty thin skin when it comes to getting worked up (which the moderators know. Some 😉 definitely do), so I tend to snap like a twig when I see certain things. Honestly, some stuff gets under my skin so much that I’d rather just pack it all in and quit this forum entirely, but... I suppose I remember this is just a message board, so let's just vent and move on.
This time, it was a certain user and her statement in the thread about Jonestown that really set me off. To quote her:

Why on earth does every single Mexican who shows up in a thread like this have to be allowed to troll? Why the constant dragging of the US Army and Falcons, denying genocide, and harassing people who just want to remember the 7,000 lives lost?

Anyway, I was talking about those Falcons who were part of the US Army right up until the start of the aggression. That's a documented fact. If you're going to throw around arguments about what the US Army was like before Slobodan Milošević took power, then maybe explain how those specific people were actually in the service... but whatever, it doesn't matter now.

The part that really got to me is what I've bolded. Sorry, but... wtf?!? I don't think like you, and I'm an American?!? Helou !!! If that isn't chauvinistic thinking, then I don't know what is...

It's not the first time someone has acted like they have the right to decide who is an American and who isn't, basically trying to claim a monopoly on being American.

Seriously, just chill out! You don't have a monopoly on America or on being American, and you certainly aren't going to dictate to anyone else what they are! I think the forum admins really ought to address this in the rules, because I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one this irritates. At this rate, people are going to be asking for birth certificates just so they don't get labeled as trolls on a daily basis.

Here is a little bit of an interesting curiosity for you. Apparently, I’ve been declared a Muslim today just because I spoke out against Israel in that thread about Palestine:

To you Muslims, even women and children are legitimate targets.
And then you expect anyone to feel sorry for you...

If I had posted in any other thread, I guess I probably would have changed my nationality several more times by now...
Regarding this Kazral guy, I reported his provocative posts and didn't even bother responding to him, but he hasn't been sanctioned. I suppose that just gave him wings to keep up the provocations in the thread about Jonestown.

@mayacar, did you actually file reports on those tracks, or did you just sit back and wait 24 hours to see if the mods would react?
You didn't. How can I be so sure? Because you opened a thread about a post that’s barely an hour old. We aren't playing it that way. File the report first and give the moderation team a fair chance to sort it out. If there are still issues after that, then feel free to swing by here.
