My kid has Cystic Fibrosis. It’s a brutal, incurable genetic disease. We’re talking constant hospital stays, specialists, strict diets—it never ends. On top of that, my husband struggles with PTSD. He’s out on medical leave constantly because his condition keeps spiraling, especially with all the meds he’s on.
I can’t find work anywhere because I have to be there for both of them. Honestly, I’m exhausted. Physically, mentally... I don't even know who I am anymore. To make matters worse, the bank froze my husband's account, and that was the breaking point. I don't even have money for groceries, let alone the utility bills.
The power got cut the other day. My kid needs to use a nebulizer three times a day. You try imagining how terrifying that is.
I’ve reached out to various agencies for help, but nothing. I’ve sold everything I own just to cover some of the costs, but it’s barely a drop in the bucket.
I'm lost. Her local non-profit can't help us financially, and I'm running out of options.
Does anyone know how to start a fundraiser or who to contact for aid? I just need to keep my kid and husband anonymous—maybe just use initials. My husband couldn't handle the public scrutiny if people knew it was him.
